Live Midi in Grasshopper using OSC and rtpMidi
Live Midi input in Grasshopper using OSC. Audio generated in Native Instruments Drum Rack "West Africa" inside Apple Logic and routed to a PC via Network using rtpMidi. On the PC a small patch in vvvv converts the notes from Midi to OSC data. Firefly in Grasshopper receives the data and uses it to build a wall. The arrangement of the brick (8 possibilities) is decided by the note being played.

How to use the Elgato Streamdeck in vvvv gamma using just 2 nodes. It utilizes the Bitfocus Companion software, which offers lots of cool functionality for a Streamdeck for free, as well as the LoopBe virtual midi port. Using Global Channels and Midi Binding in vvvv gamma is a quick and easy way to bind variables in vvvv to other devices, UIs and so on. Elgato Stream Deck: www.elgato.com/ch/en/...
I should note that Global Channels are still classed as "experimental", meaning what they can do and how they work might still be subject to change in coming versions of vvvv gamma. In my experience they work very reliably already though and offer a lot of things that would be fairly advanced to patch yourself.
