Responding with Love Rather Than Violence | Christian Huff
Christian partners with Jonathan “JP” Pokluda, Lead Pastor of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, as well as John Luke, Luke, Reeves, and Jacob to tackle the tough expectations in the later part of the book of Romans. The guys tackle difficult subjects such as alcohol use or other troubling and subjective discussions within Christianity as they relate to fellow brothers and sisters. Christian opens up the discussion of turning the other cheek versus defending one’s values, and Luke illustrates a very recent example of that principle.
In this episode: Romans 13-16; 1 Corinthians 1, verses 17-27

I was married 25 years and did not know my husband had a pornography addiction which changed the Godly man Ihe had been to a double life that destroyed our marriage, but thankfully my Pastors and prayers and Lord brought healing and helped me forgive him.We are not together, bit I still pray he will be accountable to the Lord and to Pastors to wherever he goes to church so he can heal

    Part 1 of 2 Hello Korie, Sadie, and Christian, I am the individual that sent Christian the message about Haven's kidney reflux likely being caused by the weighted sleepwear and that it would be best for Haven to immediately take part in physiotherapy because she has literally spent half her life pinned flat on a mat. It seems you have done that because Haven has made significant progress, but Sadie seems somewhat resistant, enough to cause Haven to digress at times and continue to hurt her. I am a trained counselor and have worked with both abused and special needs kids (I have also worked for the gov't apprehending abused kids from abusive situations). Korie, you understand the importance of bonding and attachment with infants and children, because you have successfully accomplished this with all of your kids; natural and adopted at all ages. I have been mulling for some time, Haven's bond with Sadie, because their bond presents with a weak, ambivalent, resigned, low affect attachment, like that of a mother who is an addict. Sadie is the issue, because Haven is not like that with anyone else. But I am fairly confident that substance abuse is not a factor....thus my mullings. I then had a 'lightbulb" moment: I had a conversation with an individual who follows the teachings from Bethel in Redding for about a decade, they weren't doing so well. As we talked they eventually admitted that they spend so much time in the "third heaven" in "encounter" that they didn't know what world to live in!!! Ding, ding ding spending your days in a dysfunctional altered state doesn't just have to be chemical in nature in order for it to be an addiction. In the Bible we are instructed to be sober and of sound mind. This is key! Her bond with Honey started out healthier, but Sadie seems to have withdrawn emotionally from her at about age two, so it is not damage free and she is wounding Honey as well. Broken child/parent attachments do NOT just automatically improve with the passage of time, they must be repaired. The parent NOT the child must fix and fully deal with their issues/addictions. A number of individuals have recently sounded the alarm and issued alerts on the New Age/Occult practices that Bethel (in Redding) is teaching. A few of those individuals are: Holly Pivec, a pastor's wife with a master's degree in Christian apologetics, she has a website www.HollyPivec.com and multiple books teaching extensively about what these practices are and what Bethel teaches; her books are available on Amazon. Also Melissa Doughery and Doreen Virtue are ex New Agers who both explain how identical what Bethel teaches is to New Age practices, and are not Biblical. Doreen in fact had authored over 30 books and toured the world giving conferences as a New Ager, she called herself a Christian who was teaching the light way; she has since repented of this, her testimony is on her channel and explains in detail how Bethel is teaching New Age, not Christianity. Martin Iles has a TH-cam channel and teaches the Bible accurately. Mormonism teaches that Joseph Smith went to the third heaven and met with jesus and god, wrote down what they said, and followed these teachings that were given to him in the third heaven during his encounter. Mormans value his words over that of the Bible, and that is what Bethel is doing; valuing words from people's encounters over the Bible. In The Encyclopedia of New Age Beliefs, John Ankerberg and John Weldon Describe a practice called Dream Work. The practicing occultist that they interviewed said that she would never practice this, it is too dangerous as it is direct communication with demons and gives demonic permission to that individual. The "encounters" in the "throne room" that you guys talk about sound no different than the above two situations. The Bible does not teach these, but the occult does. Astral plaining (out of body) is also a transcendental meditation practice, not a Biblical practice. Also, when the True Holy Spirit empowers someone to speak or write, that person ALWAYS has a full memory of everything afterwards, and they don't look and feel like they've been used and abused. Automatic handwriting for worship songs and sermons in NOT from the True Holy Spirit either, it too is an occult practice, and NOT Holy Spirit empowerment. 2 Thes 3:17, "I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write." Ask The True Holy Spirit to show you if He's been trying to let you know that these are false teachings. Because in one of Sadie's podcasts, in conversation with Mary Kate, Sadie admitted that the Holy Spirit led her to read Deut 4, but she blew Him off, saying "opps that must be static, I didn't hear that right.". Deut 4 warns against idolatry and defines it; this was when Sadie had 'sunwashed' in her merch and that concept is god/goddess worship. In Mark 11:35, Jesus Himself said, "See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness."!!!! On another occasion, on instagram, Sadie said it felt like she was being smashed into rocks, but as long as that rock was Jesus, then it's okay. BUT 1 Pet 2:8 says that Jesus is "A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message.". The True Holy Spirit will show you what He wants you to know if you ask. Finally, the year Sadie got married, on her Thanksgiving post, she said she was trying Bible verses, but they didn't really work, she had better luck with Oprah's affirmation practices. Oprah does not teach Scripture, she is New Thought in her belief system and uses New Age and Occult practices too. Mellissa Doughery enlarges on this on her TH-cam channel, it is helpful. Jesus Himself said, "See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness.", Mark 11:35. Wow I didn't know that was possible! --The Bible says, "Jesus is the light of the world", Jn 8:12. But it also says, "for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light", 2Cor 11:14. And those who have been deceived by him and follow his teachings, become agents of darkness. --The Bible calls Jesus, "The Lion of Judah" Rev. 5:5. But it also says,"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.", 1 Pet. 5:8. --Isaiah said, the children of the Lord "will be called oaks of righteousness", 61:3. But Jer 31:28 says, "Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down to overthrow,", and Jn 15:2 "He (the Father) cuts off every branch in me (Jesus) that bears no fruit.". Clearly it is possible for us to start out following the Lord, be deceived by satan, follow him and be uprooted, cut out by the Lord Sovereign God.

  • @Rhino5-l4m
    @Rhino5-l4m 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Part 2 of 2 "See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness.". --1 Jn 4:1, "do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.". -- 2 Thes 2:9.10, "The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.". --Mark 13:22 Jesus warned, "For false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." "See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness.". --Sadie had merch that said, "Sunwashed" and "Washed in sun and light we radiate his glory". This is NOT a concept that exists in Scripture (biblegateway.com you can word search it). This is sun god/goddess worship.--His Story the Musical raises the false divinity of man and lowers Jesus' divinity. This is gnosticism, you can research it. --Passion's slogan was "call on heaven". But Jesus instructed us to pray to "Our Father who is in heaven". This is not just semantics, calling on heaven is to call on a false god or idol. --The moment that Jesus gave up His spirit as He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins "the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split.", Matt 27:51. Thus anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior can now be in God's presence now and always, anywhere. There is no such thing as "take your shoes off for you are standing on holy ground" in one particular spot on the planet earth right now, not since Jesus died!! NOT ANYWHERE!! "See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness.". --Rev.2:24, "Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do NOT hold to her (that woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophet (vrs 20)) teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets," Whoa!! --Isaiah 3:18-23, "In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces, the earrings and bracelets and veils, the headdresses and anklets and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms, the signet rings and nose rings, the fine robes and the capes the cloaks, the purses and mirrors, and the linen garments and tiaras and shawls.". --Mark 4:9, Jesus said, "Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear." So let me connect the dots because Haven and Honey are not okay, they are not being treated right. This matter is very serious. If what Sadie is doing in her "encounters" on and off the stage were really with the True Lord Sovereign God, the fruit of the Spirit would be present and very evident in her daily life. If the fruit of the Spirit were present, Sadie's bond with Haven would not present with a weak, ambivalent, resigned, low affect attachment, like that of a mother who is an addict; and she would not emotionally withdraw from Honey. She is wounding her children deeply, and that would not happen if she was displaying the fruit of the Spirit. It doesn't matter how 'confidently' someone yells at an apple tree to grow oranges, it's not going to happen. So the starting point is to research the spiritual exercises and experiences you are all diving into. It is not possible to incorporate New Age and Occult Practices into your Christianity and still call it Christianity. That is not different than when the children of Israel started worshipping idols alongside Jehovah, and just wanted to do it all. The True Lord God is very clear that He does not tolerate a mix, if we incorporate New Age and Occult Practices we are choosing to leave God and follow demonic practices, and this has serious consequences in our lives; John 15:1,2a, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit.... vrs 6, If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned." If we operate in our Christianity with a mix of spirits, we are not remaining in Jesus and the consequences are dire; we will not be saved from God's wrath, the second death. 1 Thes 1:10b, "Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath." Rev 2:11, "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.". Also Hebrews chapter 3 & 4.I am professionally concerned for the physical and emotional safety of Haven and Honey. I firmly believe this needs to be addressed at the root, which is spiritual. Please contact Doreen Virtue and/or Holly Pivec for their counsel and their recommendations of qualified counselors; there is much to spiritually unpick here, and I don't believe that any counselors you are currently using are equipped to help because things would have never gotten this bad, and things are bad, if they were. This is serious. As a believer, I respectfully ask that you prayerfully consider the things I have said; much is at stake. -Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while He is near.-Isaiah 48:18 If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.-Rev 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.-Rev 3:10,11 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.

    That Garageband experience really translates in his playing. Grooviest dude this side of Steve Jordan. I mean, just listen to Glorious.

    Filth comes out of GOT, should not even be in a Christian home.

    I can’t believe this is even a question. That’s like asking “ should Christians watch porn?”

      Just filth in GOT, a true Godly leader would allow it in their home or any device.

    This podcast encouraged me to join the worship team at my church. God was calling me to it and I didn't think I could sing but then I just said 'Yes' to Him and it has been beautiful. Thanks Reeves for sharing your story.
