Your compassion is helping neighbors like Emilia, a 75-year-old grandmother, find hope and stability after experiencing homelessness. Kiara and Elijah were able to save up money, budget, increase their income and apply for housing. Alexandria Community Shelter Virtual Town Hall - December 4, 2023

We had a virtual Town Hall to discuss ways volunteers can get involved at Alexandria Community Shelter(ACS) starting on December 13th, 2023. On that date, Carpenter's Shelter will transition to becoming the sole operator of ACS and we will rely entirely on donors and volunteers to be able to provide meals to the residents at the 64-bed shelter at 2355-A Mill Road, Alexandria, VA, 22314.

The saying goes,,," If you don't have nothing good to say, then don't say it at all . Amazing, Encouraging, Inspiring, and well told by a beautiful visionary advocate ! We need this story heard , in order to reach so many, to transfer a dream to a reality! This bought me to tears of joy, I am so proud of you !
