An ongoing cliche with Leftist writing is the all consuming focus on subversion. They can't just tell a simple story. They focus on the tropes and over analyze them to the point, searching for all the ways it can be manipulated or broken, all with the overarching goal in mind of "proving" tropes that don't jive with their dogma to be "fascist" or "outdated". Tropes aren't allowed to occur naturally, but are actively drawn attention to so they can be broken. Their whole style of writing isn't to create, but to destroy. I suspect that's also why they can't meme.

This is random, but the more I have thought about it. As much as I see why ratings are on video games, just remember politics did play a part in that. Jack Thompson comes to memory, I think a lot of issues stem from emotions rather than because somebody thought they were a good idea. I think why people dislike Christianity is because most have a misunderstanding about it. Then you get guys like that and makes Christianity look like its full of hypocrites. Ratings on video games sort of started because of the bad argument that video games cause bad things to happen(not sure if the v word is a bad word here). There are probably valid issues that could be had about video games, but its usually taken over by extremists. I would say games have been politically driven for a while, maybe even before GG. It's just that one side of the aisle seems more reasonable than the other. Somebody somewhere has to get upset about something. I think Christianity is attacked both outside and from inside. Both from those who don't get it and from those who think they get it, but really don't. There is probably biblical Christianity and a lot of fake stuff out there that tries to look like Christianity.

Allow me to make my own principled stance clear. I am apolitical. Completely. This would frame me as a Centrist functionally. My stance is that politics is widely a system beyond my own individual power to influence and is so heavily filtered that those who make the decisions live in a class and layer of existence that I have no interest in and no chance to access. This gives me the freedom of the individual. I do whatever my family needs to meet their necessities and I push myself to evolve and expand as I go about my day with no interest in fame or recognition despite the fact that it may or may not benefit my family and hobbies. I look out for my own, I protect the people I care about, and we go wherever we can find the most stability and peace while I do my best to teach my daughter both by word and by example what it means to live a principled life. When deep in the lands of those who mistake themselves as gods, your first shelter is within your own heart and then your own hearth. Provided you know why you are doing what you are doing, are willing to keep the possibility of being wrong on your mind, but always grounding yourself in what matters most, you can hold your own private kingdom in the shadows of the upper class. And when the world they built crumbles, you will be ready to defend your home and principles.

The problem with people like this guy is that they have never really suffered or lost anything. These people have never seen their franchise die, or seen their favorite character used, or films ruined to fit in with "the times"... none of that. Just run-of-the-mill guys who are in a job that somehow fits in with this scene, always bending, adapting and just saying yes in the end. House, pets, kids, wife, job. That's all...there is no real connection to a hobby or attack surface for deeper problems. As long as the perfect world works, everything is fine. It doesn't matter if franchises disappear, new ones come along that can be used again. It's really perverse how guys like these try to brush off every problem because "they themselves" never had a problem. Bullshit talkers and too many people swallow their arguments.
