Pointless movie

I didn't know a movie was made of the book, and stumbled on it the other evening (streaming sorry) and absolutely loved the movie rendition as well. Bravo Justin Torres for choosing the right director to convey, like you say in the interview, the poetry you convey in your book... the poetry of living that I found in the book. The interview was intelligent and friendly, and interesting to see Justin's point of view on the movie and how he learned about the movie process and enjoyed it... and the interviewer, whom I thought would be a tad light, asked well-thought questions, intelligent questions, that created a great dynamic and chemistry for the interview. Thank you!!

Booksmart was an amaging film from such an inspiring director. Hearing Olivia talk just makes me fall in love with cinema and with her lol .. so excited for dwd!!!!

The woman on the left is my professor Lindsay Giggey I just had this Spring Semester at CSUDH. Great professor always willing to help you and very charismatic and enthusiastic about her job. Didn't know she was a PhD student, great!!!😀😁

Cousin Justin looks ALOT like our youngest uncle in Miami and the father in the movie looks a lot like his brother and the boys in the movie actually look a lot like our dads when they were that age. I would have loved to see the casting call of all these Hispanics auditioning. Unfortunately the ones that might look the closest to actual family members might look the part but not right for the roll acting wise and the ones that look nothing like the real person might have the better acting ability but I think they did well with the pick of casting choices.

I thought this interview was great. The chemistry and fun you guys were having was great. Your questions were prodding and obviously provocative for Justin. And your analysis of not only the content of the film but also the comparisons between the mediums of book and film was amazing.

I really liked the movie. The surrealism, the narrative, the characters. But I LOVED the book. I agree that the director really got what the book was about. Justin's style of writing is just beautiful.

Does Bo do every interview he's asked to?

that's funny sometimes he'll say something that's really true but people just laugh it, I guess it can be funny at the same time but there would be times where he speaks a serious truth and people will just laugh as if it goes over their​ head or it seems completely funny. I don't know but I just find that interesting.

Awesome video. Dunno how y'all got a hold of Bo but it's awesome seeing his personality in interview form. It's cool hearing his perspective from a more "normal" side as opposed to figuring out who he was through straight comedic performances and his songs
