Miss Chris a lot - saw Yes back in the 70s, 80s and 90s - and he was key to their musical sound where bass reigned supreme. Good to see the old JD Roberts I remember and not the John Roberts - same guy - now on Fox News.

Man, I miss Chris Squire. He was my ultimate rock god for 40+ years. What a musician and singer.
I think I’ve “airbassed” Chris Squire more often than any other musician on any other instrument in my time. ❤

the good ole days where the music was king!
The amount of talent in that man emanated an energy that powered this band for more than 45 years. Now, it has been converted into Yes/Asia with 2 players simply swapped on and off stage and it's blatantly apparent that Steve Howe is struggling to keep this (Drama-era) iteration going.
I miss this dude.
Chris tried almost every avaliable haircut & hairstyle through his carrer - and he always looked cool.
And at this point in his life, fucking HOT!

This is a decent interview. Many of Chris Squire's media appearances were slickly uninformative. He tended to keep his cards close to his chest, and to adopt a 'showbiz' persona for the endless round of broadcast appearances that accompanied Yes tours and albums. This is much better. Nothing that wasn't already known in terms of the information maybe, but a good seven minutes to watch. Interesting to hear his take on playing in South America in the '80s.
There are some really good audio interviews with him on TH-cam.
It's a shame they lost the Philadelphia Tapes...Hope one day they appear.
Well there is a slight ray of hope. From what I've heard, they didn't 'loose' the tapes as such, there was just some disagreement with a production company of some kind, and as a result, they took the tapes and refused to complete and release the film. I heard somebody say that in 1977, some of film footage of the Philadelphia show was used as an advert for Going For The One, either for the album or to promote the 1977 tour. So they are possibly still out there in a vault, somewhere.
