Changing my radiator due to corrosion, i couldnt get a recore in the uk so i have used a cheap chinese one until my new one arrives from america. The chinese ones dont fit correctly so if you are needing a new radiator try getting your original one repaired or look on 944store.com/ in the USA for a refurbished one.

    Me thinks that I will not replace mine. With the new starter your car still sounds just like mine which I believe sounds like it is struggling. On cold mornings mine sounds really bad...like it wont start at all .Only had this 944 for a week after "winning it on BaT". You have been forewarned. Car was represented as a # 2 but it is more like a 4.

      Hi i have 2 944s and they both sound like they are struggling to start but the new starter does spin it faster. I have kept the original bosch starter and will be getting it rebuilt as it still started fine just sounds sluggish.

      Thanks Paul. I'm in the garage, having just removed my valve, because of low oil pressures when oil is at working temp. I've never split my 1 piece oprv before. You said it was difficult to split, but it seemed to go together very easily. What are your oil pressures at idle (cold) and at 3-4k rpm (warm) - thanks again ,ian.@@paregal

    • @paregal
      @paregal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      4 bar when cold and about 3to4 when running around the 4k mark, drops to about 2 when idling when warmed up :) thats about the same as my S was also. Cheers

    Question I hope you can answer. My 85 944 has some driverside fender damage and leaks water into the driver footwell. Smoke test with smoke tube shoved behind carpet in driver’s side by the hatch release shows smoke coming from the space between the back of the fender and the body, right where the door fits. Looking at the images in your videos I see seam seal on the body under the fender which I’m guessing is where the smoke is coming out. Any way to get to that spot without removing the entire fender?

    • @paregal
      @paregal 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi David Not that i know of, easiest way to access that area is by removing the fender as it butts up to the body. There is a lot of sealer under the fender at the top and there may be a hole there where there is a overlap. Sorry i cant be of more help Regards Paul

      hi thanks for your comment, the driveshafts had whirring noise coming from them and they had too much play in them this did help with the driveline shunt feeling a lot for me, i then changed the clutch aswell which took even more play out of the system.

    The cog looking things with the round plates in the end are there to reduce brake noise and vibration. Probably aftermarket, they are sitting on top of the rectangular anti squel pad that comes with the brake pad
