So I looked up Tecmo Bowl to check out a couple of things and I found out some stuff 1) Tecmo Bowl does have differences between the teams that play (SF has a great defense and lots of pass options, being one of only two teams to have 3 pass plays; Denver's passing game is strong with Elway, and everything else is halfway decent, safe for a lacking Special Team) 2) SF in this game is designed to require quick decision-making when using pass plays. As one source pointed out, "An inexperienced player will throw a lot of INTs with San Francisco." (Well that explains a lot doesn't it?) 3) The strength of a team's defense is based on what you guess the offense team's play is going to be. There's a good chance that I guessed Jared's plays a bunch, leading to the stellar man-to-man coverage from SF. He must've guessed wrong more I guess... So TL;DR - I guessed a lot of Jared's plays right, meaning I DID HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH my team performing well - Jared probably could've run the ball more - San Francisco actually IS pretty dominant in this game and is a MATCH for the LA Raiders in this title which would be a fitting rematch??? - Also, the Tier 1 spot Jared mentions? In Tecmo SUPER bowl, not the original NES ;) ;) - Despite the differences in team makeup, one source says, "it ultimately comes down to your skills as a player that determines how good a team is." SO GIT GUD JARED
