Thank you !
thank u !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So when did the bible become a verifiable genealogical source?
Fassinerende voordrag. Baie dankie. Puik gedoen. Ek het dit baie geniet.
Fantastic!! lots of had work!! Thanks
Well done congratulations my brother Andrew Jordaan
Jordan was founded on May 25, 1946. Thats all you need to know about credibility of this long lecture.
Well done❤
Baie baie dankie Anton. Verwey-groete Helene Susette Pretorius gebore Verwey
Baie geleer omtrent my familie oorsprong. Baie baie dankie Anton.

I was stunned to come across this. I am an 1820 English Settler descendant living in Clubview, Pretoria. My surname is Mills and believed I was a descendant of Daniel Mills but things did not fit. Some time ago I contacted the 1820 Settler organisation and was advised that I am most probably a descendant of a corn dealer, Thomas Mills on the Baille party. I checked for a letter on the website but only the Daniel Mills letter is there. Can anyone shed some light as i have been trying to get information for over twenty years.
I'm a decendant of 1820 settlers from the Richardson party .he was a corn dealer if you go to geni the geneological website you will probably be able to trace your family tree there is a website with information about the ships names and the parties with letter to the UK government . Richardson was in a battle against the Xhosa the side with the Mfengu .On geni or Google type in Bailie and the name name and you will find the branch .I'll see if I can post a a website with info now now .

Wonderfully interesting! Thank you Dr Rhoda!
What was saartje's ethnicity?
Her parents were Vryezwarten (freed 'black' slaves). Her father was Coridon van Ceylon (from India/Sri Lanka) and her mother was Trijn van de Kaap (born in cape town with slave heritage, but not sure what ethnicity). I think nowadays Sartjie might be regarded as 'Coloured' since she was mixed, or Cape Malay due to her culture and religion.
