Sold mine at the start of the year, miss the car but do not miss the maintenance costs. This car is infamously known as ‘the engine out car’ due to sheer lack of wiggle room in the engine bay, requiring the engine, subframe and sometimes transmission to be dropped in order to carry out common fault repairs, such as the dreaded oil seal or the coolant pipes. It took 15 minutes to warm the engine properly before driving, and would use a fair amount of fuel in doing so. Moved onto a M140i now.. super reliable and just as quick off the line. Doesn’t have anywhere near the 100-160mph capability that the C6 does, of course. RDW is a stark contrast, too. I know it’s likely no one gives a fuck, but hey ho thanks for reading.
