So my reverse camera went out back in March, and my vehicle is out of warranty. I put out a lot of videos in regards to the issue and many many TH-camrs complain THEY’RE IN THE SAME BOAT, WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS!! 😮 Well, As of November 20th, 2024, Hyundai has FINALLY opened a recall for it!! Apparently the soldering wasn’t great on the circuit board and caused it to have the camera fail! Now, EVENTUALLY, Hyundai is going to send everyone a postcard regarding the recall, and fix it for us FREE of cost… How about the SAME regarding the horn issue, HYUNDAI!! 👀 EVERY ORIGINAL HORN IS GOING TO FAIL AT “SOME POINT” DURING OWNERSHIP. Anyways, it’s a shame we have to go through this. Please be safe in your travels. Not having a horn is a MAJOR safety hazard, and please ensure Hyundai takes care of their problem for you in a timely, no out of pocket cost for you… Thank you for your time watching and sharing your personal experience with us all!!! 🙏 🚘 🎄

Are these new batteries BRAND NEW or have they come from the same pack? It’s possible the batteries may be bad… Did you try starting the vehicle while pushing the key fob to the start button? Does that work? Do the lights flash red at the top of the fob when you push a button like they should? Do you have a spare fob that works still temporarily until you figure this one out? Is your vehicle under 60,000 miles and under five years old? If so, possibility exists it may have been compromised but possibly covered under warranty if your dealer is willing to accept the warranty claim(call in advance to inquire first). Programming of a NEW fob without having one to jump program can get pricey. Having that spare fob can be useful to help program new fobs without having to have a dealer involved…

@ brand new batteries, i dont have a spare, the keys dont light up, its a used 2022 with 20k miles on it. Got it from carmax I think it need to be reprogrammed. And it should be under warranty

@ Hopefully!! 🤞 I remember when the warranty man was trying to upcharge me, he mentioned key fobs aren’t covered under warranty… The key is the chip part. Maybe you could just get away with buying the replacement housing without having to pay the reprogramming fee if it’s not covered under warranty??? There’s a possibility of permanent damage to the vehicle and voidable warranty as a result… Extreme caution is supposed to be used whenever making an attempt at doing so… Someone was kind enough to share the code once with me and knew I’d be responsible with it and not make changes. My complete warranties expire within a few thousand miles as well… Best of Luck finding it possibly within the comments of some very useful videos!! @@kglove01 Was your wife’s vehicle under 5 years old and under 60,000 miles? If so, the replacement could have been a free warranty repair via the dealer… Is your wife’s make year model the same? That’s wonderful about your Amazon outcome!! I ordered one off of eBay and they sent me the wrong type for my vehicle and unfortunately I had so much trouble with the return… Anyways, I took apart the inner liner and plug and play tested it before disassembling the entire trunk glue seal, etc, bolts that are cranked super tight, etc, and decided to hold off until warmer months, in hopes also the out of pocket cost will go down, etc… Retail cost is just under $400… I couldn’t find under a $120 for what my vehicles model calls for…And that was ordering from Out of Country… Thank you for sharing your story!! @@sweetmali27 If your mileage is under 60,000 miles, and your vehicle is under 5 years old, you would more than likely qualify for a free replacement camera, or free diagnostic testing at e dealer. Every new Hyundai comes with a complimentary 5 year/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, where everything is covered by that warranty, with exception to normal wear and tear parts, like tires, brakes, wipers, owner abuse, etc. I hope your mileage is within limits!!!
