I think if this begins to happen the first thing I would do is try to blow out all the dust that has accumulated. Next, inspect the power brick to make sure it does not have dust inside of it. and finally at this point if nothing has worked either break it open or take it somewhere for repairs. Inside is really not that hard you just replace parts problem is which parts. Do watch some videos before getting handy.
