Trying to figure out how we went from Missy becoming good and about to join the Doctor, to a psycopath that hates the Doctor again lmao

I remember this reveal! My mind was blown! 🤯 There were so many clues, I was _expecting_ the Master, but I didn't even think it was him until this scene. Freaking brilliant! He was so good!

By all accounts, this shouldn't have worked for me. We knew John Simm was coming back as the Master, we knew the Mondasian Cybermen were coming back, and throughout the episode, it seemed evident that Bill was going to be turned into a Cyberman. But, at the end of World Enough and Time in 2017, I remember my heart plummeting and my blood running cold as two Masters entered the room and Bill's new form was revealed. "I WAITED FOR YOU."

Who are these reactors? I want to find them!!!

I don’t believe this incarnation of the Master came after Missy. He would have retained her memories, and likely her change of heart about The Doctor. I think he comes somewhere in between Missy and the previous incarnation

Sadly I was spoilered before the reveal scene but it was still awesome to watch all the little hints and then the big reveal. I love everything of it. My favourite master ❤

The part that throws me is how many people got confused by the OH line, which is the most brilliant thing in the whole scene. He picked his codename specifically so that he could relish her OH, it's you! Shock

I agree with that one guy who said it was too soon to bring the Master back, but that he was really liking this version. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Sacha Dhawan is the hottest Master I've seen in the 40 years I've been a fan of this show.

Some may already be scratching their heads based on that fact alone, but it turns out Missy did not destroy herself when she took out John Simm's Master. Using a device called the Elysium field (forbidden Timelord tech), Missy was able to get a new regeneration cycle. Plus when a new incarnation comes of a Timelord, not just their physical appearance changes but so does their personality and the Master has always been known to be insane. Just because Missy was redeemed once, doesn't mean her/his next body and personality is going to be the same. The Master always goes after the previous just like the Doctor so no, this Master is post-Missy.

I love that everyone was so focused on the fact that he was evil and behind everything that it took them till the big name reveal to figure out he was ALSO the Master. Shout out to the people that figured it out from the flying house!

It was rumoured that the Master was returning for Series 12, I remember the leaks. But no one expected him for the pilot story. We all expected him for the finale (which we also got). Chibnalls best twist

They've really knocked it out of the park with their Master interpretations/reveals in the past few seasons. Lol Missy's was equally iconic.

Did anyone else catch the reference to Missy? He says 'C'mon, Doctor, catch up'. Which is almost identical to Missy's reveal, when she said 'Due try to keep up!' That makes me think that he comes before Missy in his timeline.

That's the moment where I lost any and all respect for Missy lol.
