4chan Greentext Archive - Stories and Spooky Stuff
มุมมอง 826 หลายเดือนก่อน
A few tales from my extensive collection, hauled out of the archives, mainly posted in discord and on my instagram (@creepygreentexts). 1. Lantern Man The first story is an anon describing an interesting legend I hadn't heard of before, but which is similar to other tales of lights seen in the wilderness. 2. Haunted Casa Monica A spooky tale from a haunted room at a resort. Reminds me of someth...

Anon shares a legend on /x/ about a group of men who go missing on a snowy mountain. The ghosts of these men apparently wander the mountain to this day. And their ghostly lanterns signal to travelers that a storm may be approaching, and that they should get out while they can.

As I’m driving on The highway, I see a black wolf crossing and I swerved but regained control. It was a black bag floating. This story brought tears. I’ve been only a handful of times. It’s been decades since I’ve been invited. But I want to take my son and dad someday. Thanks for sharing.

I am white but i have never felt like the traditional way of life felt right, christian religion never felt right. it felt fake.Indigenous culture and their spirituality is something i resonate with on the deepest level. the way they speak about the mother earth and respecting the land. I could not imagine what experiencing a sweat lodge would be like. I would do anything to connect in that way.

Hearing his story of what happened inside the Lodge, made me think of my own experience right after; one month after, my wife passed away, from chemo...and my freind Felipe said he would do a Ceremony for her, ( and me).. I felt her hands touching my bare skin...she came into the Lodge ( her FIRST), just to let me know she was there...She also touched our friend sitting right next to me, too.......just make SURE I knew, that she was REALLY there , and that I was not just somehow, "imagining" it happening....We both felt the loving gentle soothing touch of a womans hands on our body........ Many amazing Miraculous things can happen in a Sweat Lodge....and this one, was not my first .........I have experienced many transformational things from this Ceremony... I seriously do not know how or if I ever could have made it through the most difficult times in my life, without this Ceremony....I am so grateful to the ones who guided me and helped me to learn the truth about myself.....a humbling experience indeed...as I discovered that I really did not know "how to pray" .........at all......I learned that reality by listening to the way the people prayed inside the Lodge.... I learned that to cry, is great cleansing also.... We cry when we pray in this Ceremony...and no one knows about this kind of thing, until they do it themselves......Most people, who pray to God etc, they just pray with no emotion... People go to Church, they kneel, they pray to Jesus, or God, etc....but no tears ever fall....and mostly, it's just reciting prayers from a typed printed book, and there is little emotion, or none, really, in the reciting of these prayers......They hold no Power........I grew up as a Catholic, going to Catholic schools, all the way through high school......... then , in my ealy 20's I was inspired to get involved with Native American Sacred Ceremonies...THAT is when my life changed..and I started to learn about REALITY from experiencing it directly, from doing Sacred Ceremony with the Native elders....the Ceremonial Leaders, and Medicine People I was lucky enough to meet in my travels....

I dont know if my mind is playing tricks or if it's placebo, but i started to feel extremely scared and desperate. I just came from work tired, ate, and started to watch youtube videos to chill and fall asleep. This put me on high alert. Listened to it again and i really felt like i want to cry, feel light goosebumps, for those who've gone through heartbreak and know how the physical pain feels like, well, I'm feeling that too, this is fucked up.

First time listening you, my initial reaction is astonishment. You have a peculiar voice, meek, yet gentle and accurate. Stoic reading is my go-to "bedtime stories" reading that I enjoy. This comes from someone who follows TimeSix (aka T6), The Exploring Series or Saul Vancaserkin , shout out to you my bro. I also like this slight dramatic you employ in your reading but I must confess, the music is too dramatic at times, to the point of it being comedic and taking away from the story, from the immersion. My comment is meant as an objective criticism so you can develope and thrive. In a nutshell: everything else is good in my opinion but the music is too on-the-nose in some points. Make the music and background noise so that the listener is able to fall asleep easily is my "protip", if I may say so as a mass consumer of content like this. I bid thee fair and well times and may the kali yuga be kind to you. Novum Chaldeas.

To anyone reading this, during the time i was listening to it, i wasn't effected. Maybe it was because i accepted my own despair code so easily prior to this, which was "If someone doesn't have something that has value beyond their lifespan, anything they do that doesn't contribute to that for the individual or for other individuals is all for nothing.", i knew with every bone in my body that thought that i knew didn't belong to me, was telling the truth.

This is doomer shit, your life will be a lot happier if you just enjoy it and try to live in a satisfying way. There is nothing after death, which means nothing after death matters to you. Some people hear that and think it means nothing matters once you die, but the life you lived was yours. That life is all you have, not what's after, so try to make sure its a kind and fulfilling one.

I miss sweat lodges, it's been about 10 years since I've attended one. over about a 20-year period i attended a hundred or more lodges. I'm a white boy, at first it seemed novel and then the spirituality of it grew deep Roots within me. quickly I became what we called the firewalker. the one who walks around the fire retrieving the rocks to put into the lodge. I have an affinity for both fire and stones so it seemed only natural and it was an honor. during our lodges we had what we called three or four"flaps"... the flap was opened to let out some heat, but also so I could go out and retrieve more Hot rocks for the lodge. at one flap I was so exhausted and wiped out from the heat I couldn't move. I had been prone on the floor and told myself if I could just roll up onto my butt cheek perhaps I could get up and go get more stones. as I rolled onto my butt a light being on each side of me lifted me up by my armpits and set me outside the lodge on my feet! as soon as I was on my feet and outside I was my normal self. I retrieved more hot Stones so that we could continue. those light beings I always refered to as angels. I will never forget that!! lodges are very renewing, you are born again a new. I miss them

good expereince, thank you for sharing. new ppl learning from vdeo to this sacred way, must know, we are not just going out to bush or river bank/lake and grabbing rocks'/cutting trees'/sages/sweetgrass/roots etc - from BEFORE the first cutting of willow/ribs to make the lodge, we gather, the medicine healer smokes pipe for Creator to ask, pray to Creator, some times we all smoke pipe after healer, and we offer tobacco at tree or ground before cutting or taking 1st 'rock', to honor our Creator, thanking for the sacred lodge and medicines('elements'), thankiing also thru the helping spirits all corners and that spirit of the tree of life Himself(Mistikinapew), same thing when we go get grandfathers('rocks'), or for any lodge, prayer 1st, every tool is smudged, every packeging for the medicines is smudged and cleansed, every song is a prayer, every teaching is original truth, it all comes from tree of life, and honoring Creator 1st what Creator given as sacred, like one long prayer building the lodges, cant have anger in heart/mind, cant have bad thoughts, walk in sacred way, and using it same sacred manner til next season and then discard and do it all over again. very sacred, not something to 'i saw a video o it, and now i feel like trying to see for myself' - always, go to real medicine ppls/lodge holders to learn properly. that 'healer' who is teaching, is not the power.. Creator is, Creator doesn't play. aho!
