This song did not become a hit because there is nothing to set it apart from mediocrity. She has a good voice but the song is weak in that it doesn't have a strong unique melody and chorus. That is what hits are made of.
100% disagree - this song has all the hallmarks and hooks of a classic pop SAW/PWL production - the main issue is this was released in 1993, several years AFTER SAW/PWL's mid/late 80s commercial peak - I believe if this track had been released a few years earlier in the UK (88-89), it would have been a #1 smash. Oh well...what might have been...
It's true that if it had been released in the early 80's it would have been played in the straight disco dance halls. Big haired girls with shoulder pads would have said that it was easy to dance to but still only as a filler between big hits. It would never have been played at the more discerning gay discos as it is a boring, unmemorable song. Listen to FASCINATED by Company B (extended). This is what makes a MEGA hit!

Truly one of the best songs and remixes ever. I am a DJ and have heard thousands of songs. This one still gives me chills. Loved doing strobes to this song on the big drops. Dance floor went crazy in Chicago.
Duane Thamm couldn’t agree with you more. This tune is timeless. Used to club to this way back in the 90’s. I dj too. Got this baby on vinyl. It has captured everything old and new. It still makes the hair on the back of my neck( and my wife’s) stand up every time I hear it.... not many tunes can do that

I am just amazed how this remix took the original song, deconstructed it, re-arranged it and BOOM! The remix is far more better than the original. None of the other remixes come even close to The Space Bros! And for the longest time, this remix wasn't available in L.A. Had to get a boot leg from one of those record shops on Santa Monica Blvd, that was released by Groove Radio. People went nuts when this came on.
Just record it off TH-cam from your laptop stereo audio out onto a cassette.
