Oh, yeah? Those were the goals we set ourselves when working on this video: to tell you why current diving, how to recognize it, and how to behave when diving in current conditions. We did. What would you add?

Thanks for your comment! Yes, you can get out of the down current by swimming horizontally away from the wall. But this method does not work if, for example, you are diving near the wall of a small island - the current can carry you into the blue. More often we try to stay near the wall - so you at least have a reference point. Sometimes you can wait out a gust of current by hiding behind a rock ledge or using a reef hook, for example. But, of course, there is no universal method that will help in every situation

We are very careful not to disturb the coral in any way, and require the same attitude from the divers we dive with. Luckily, we didn't break anything, and just touched the coral with the pressure gauge, but still. We will pay even more attention to that from now on 🙏

Yes, that's exactly what they (bubbles) do. That's why you have to let the air out of the BSD during the ascent - so your ascent doesn't turn into a takeoff 😉
