turning off blood is kinda realistic - zombies would not bleed as their hearts are not beating - i've set my RAM to 24gb as i have a Matrix platinum 24gb :) - i didnt know about the zoom - got everything else - i also have nearly 800 mods running with "no" conflicts (ok the occassional crash but hey)

Allocating more RAM prevents this game from starting. I`ve chosen the 16GB option since I`m currently playing on my old PC. *Edit: I left that RAM allocation unchanged, but now subscribing to the better fps mod causes my game to crash before I even hit main menu. I´m assuming it´s some conflict with another mod since I have around 90 mods installed by now and it seems to work properly for many other people. I`m also running the textures optimized mod in performance mode, which is already enough for me to have a good time gaming.

Mushrooms and Berries are RNG PER WORLD CREATION. So each time a new Run is made, you are dealing with a new set of poisonous and Edible ones. It isn't based on the sprites or 3d models. So either select Herbalist or Scout in traits, or ALWAYS first taste test them in a small bite before beggining to mass collect them.

The game has 2 .exe files: - ProjectZomboid32.exe - ProjectZomboid64.exe Make sure you run the 64-bit one unless you have a REALLY OLD CPU (talking pre-2010 here). I think all 32-bit applications have a cap of max 3.5GB RAM usage by default unless you enable some Windows extensions or something, idk.

You forgot the mod called "Rain washes blood". My frame rate drops _dramatically_ whenever I pull up into Muldraugh because of the overdraw of the blood decals after so many zombies were turned to mush on that main street. Rain deals away with that, making the game a lot smoother.

Idea for a Challenge run: Dying Light Crane Insertion HALO drop. Random spawns + the Parachute spawn mods. You spawn with a Handgun, some loaded mags, and a MRE. Starts with the Infection. Must find a cure, until it has to be made, you have to stall the Infection with the Anti-Zomboid drugs available in the County. If you willing for the Dying Light Parkour experience, the Jump, Crawl and Climb one story tall walls mods to expand your Mobility choices. Bandits mod (maybe even the Day one version for added chaos) to emulate the human threats.

If you know how to touch the settings, you can do great things to optimize the game. In Linux, i have 30 FPS or even more in a government laptop that doesn't even have a fan. Lmao

Imho. Nothing Soyny is worth buying, more because what they CAUSED to Gaming as an Industry rather than just the exclusivity. Scuck Eunuchs deserve no moolah, very much for trying to westernize stuff, which is why FF7 demake shouldn't be purchased imho. In the current landscape of Gaming (Probably Crash going in full effect before year's end or at most within 2025) and Entertainment in general, gone are the reasons to keep the "Separate the Art from the Artist" rethoric. Businesses that sperged all that vitriol to their main loyal Consumer base deserve the collapse, no mercy for those. Those giving customers what they want, being vocal against that BS of current year, and not pushing stupid Politics or commentary in their product should be rewarded. Long History short: I would suggest not buying any of Soyny owned IPs or from Publishers slash Devs that have been doing all that Current year politics BS and haven't done anything at all to prove they are going against it, merely hiding it. For a Challenge idea: Project Umbrella or Resident Zomboid, Lab Breach. Running the Facility 7 mod map, you can choose the RE esque challenge for it: Dropped at Helipad as one of the Titular Heroes of the many entries to try and both contain the outbreak within or Seize the Briefcase with Evidence to try destroy the company/Government Unit that was running that Facility. Or play as a HUNK esque character Dropped at the Helipad with the task to secure said Evidence before the Task force sent by the Authorities to contain it can arrive and grab it. First wouldn't have a time Limit, but you would start more deprived of gear and weapons (A classic for RE games of course). Second is that you got about a week or Two to enter, find the item and get it out of the Facility by reaching the other part of that Map. Since the mission is of high priority and urgency, you spawn with Guns (including a Suppressed Pistol or SMG), but not exactly enough ammo nor explosives to do the full job so easily. For the Second, maybe add the Succeptible, forcing you to keep that HUNK gas mask on anytime you don't know if it is safe enough for a Meal break.
