Missed again :(
same here...
27:50-29:30 What if the friend in question just says "screw that, I just wanna press buttons" and chooses to play Stylish mode. How would you take that into account? 1:00:40 Even when getting wrecked you're able to give such discreet dissing towards the unga-bunga-kind
❤
I think my brain still smooth trying to do a dp triger knee
Great explanation Minu!
Any advice for johnny mist finer doing a quarter circle back tiger knee?
You? Maplestory? 27:44 also jesus, helluva accidental mixup 1:27:26 oo, that is pretty cool
balatro when
IDK if you will read this but would you say that overall leverless is harder on older fighting games (Pre-SF4) or easier on leverless? Like can a leverless be way better and or easier than a stick on older games?
Depends entirely on a per-game basis. The worst experience I've ever had with hitbox was on KOF98 just trying to do QCF motions but it's supposedly not as bad according to stick (lever) users. Hitbox is probably easier for 3S and ACPR. I haven't played enough ST to form a solid opinion on it but I personally have an easier time on it given I play Guile there. Good luck if you play T.hawk though.
IMO third strike is amazing on leverless. I get a lot of hate for it but IDGAF 😅 I main Akuma and he just feels so dialed in when using leverless.
Thank you for this!
Timng on the empty jump low can be pretty tight. I've been thrown quite a few times going for it. I'm also pretty new to xrd zato though.
Thx
Does this work in xrd? Edit: Just tested it, it works!
What about for pad players though?
The poignant, sad yet hopeful melody of a man who's going to mald as a Zato main 4 years later.
whens the next stream
'Promo sm' 🌹
Cant seem to do half circle inputs got any advice?
Arcsys is still making Eddie players pay for the Vanilla AC, Vanilla XX & Reload warcrimes
1:51:53 That is a fact and it's why he's my favorite character in the game, the ceiling for optimization is just insanely high
Nice
Man im sure hes not that good but xrd zato beats my ass everytime
Cool, hope to see more tourney runs from you
Here's a comment for the algorithm god, really love your zato stuff
hey, missed the stream, nice seeing you play +r
I feel like you would've performed better in +R if you exclusively used vice summon
whats the song playing at around 42:01
th-cam.com/video/fPTKjoJ3wp8/w-d-xo.html
It wouldn't be weird for a Zato player to have an extra finger or two.
2:23:25 it works midscreen its just tight
he feels so bad to play in Xrd rev 2, while he manages to be super fun in +R (except the Eddie gauge sucks) and even Shitrive Zato is rewarding to use. In Xrd Rev 2 it feels like I'm wasting all my effort to learn an incomplete character with no reward.
Exactly no matter how much you sugar coat it beginners will struggle against a puppet archetype because it’s not something people are use to. And forget about strive makes me furious tbh no shadow gallery (a staple for zato 😡) nobiru is a frog 🐸 mawaru is drills… if I could blow a game into smithereens it would be strive
@@supawithdacream5626 that's why I call it Shitrive. Honestly Strive Zato is hella easy and I hate people saying he is extremely hard to play, Eddie moves are super good in Shitrive, and they basically play the neutral game for you (pierce and frog in particular), unlike Xrd where you have to carefully manuever Eddie while making sure he doesn't die.
You made me want to learn this! Im almost done learning it :)
Just finished watching you win txt 18. And now this, you're really good.
Hitbox user. I don't subscribe to people who take shortcuts.
38:54 should've gone for RC SG 5D6
26:05 is that quadruple overhead leo specific why haven't I seen this ever before
2:55:35 comeback of the century
2:53:40 drunkard anti air with massive reward on CH hmmmmmmmm
Congrats on the run! I missed the live stream but was really fun to watch.

I love wake up grab. Mans should've teched it.
Was he sooo broken in rev 1 to deserve the nerfs? I don't really know how strong he was, but this is not a character that you'd nerf just for being strong, since he's a really difficult character with many inherent flaws by design, not that these flaws keep him from being op since... you know, he mostly is, but they (with the difficulty) help keep him in check. AC to +r felt more justified since while he still ended up at the bottom, I believe the nerfs focused on making his stalling game harder as he used to be able to fd drill until Eddie is out and he didn't need to spend meter usually, so they tried to make his natural weakness real, and they even gave him new tools make up for it, so it was just unfortunate that he ended up low, but there decisions made sense, and his signature tools like drill and nib where still powerful and he felt rewarding, in rev 2 they nerfed his defining move in a really harsh way. He's hard to balance, and balancing fighting games is hard and I don't think I can do it, but I still think that if he's broken then there are obvious points that you need to hit. And I really want to know if he was that op in rev 1 anyway, since I don't think he was so over centralising.
I started GG/fgs around the time Rev2 released so I couldn't tell you in terms of the different version of Xrd. But +R Eddie, in comparison to Rev2 Zato, feels to me like a character with both better knockdown capabilities (fS>2D immediately comes to mind), as well as better reward upon getting knockdowns. The closer comparison is probably to Reload Eddie - my knowledge regarding that version is admittedly very narrow, but it seemed to me that in that game the knockdown reward is jacked up beyond any other version of the character due to little Eddie's risc buildup capabilities. Rev2 Zato is missing both the ability to knockdown and the reward from said knockdown, and suffers greatly from it.
@@ggMinuzato in sign was as if you could do crack and have zero adverse effects
@@ggMinuzato is fun to me when i chain gallery loops, great white usage -p- confirming but he just has zero defensive options can’t rely on 6p nor 2h l, and 6h is just a death sentence, his jump normals get countered majority of the time, you basically need to sacrifice eddie for a short moment of defence which defeats the purpose of zato. neutered neutral and his mix up game in neutral also is weak. All that high risk and no reward. You just get punished for wanting to play the coolest mf character in a fighting game ever (my opinion)
I remember reading those patch notes for Bedman back then made me feel "it's over" and "we're back" at the same time
remembering i used to play zato is the only thing that gets me through being an alice main in soku
I saw you keeping Eddie very close. Is that for the teleport? Also, good gameplay 👍
That's correct, this matchup is one where I'd recommend positioning Eddie closer to Zato relative to most other matchups. Thanks!
Good stuff, I wanna be able to do that.
as a uni player i definitely get the "mouthfeel" point. i play mika, she's one of my favorite fg characters ive ever played, started with orie in EL and when mika came with ST it was a lock from day 1. i love the game and the way you navigate a round with grd but it's absolutely the most divisive mechanic because if you do not like playing around GRD and having your decisionmaking affected by GRD you will not have as much fun as people who r willing to embrace it fully. and i totally get why some people aren't. with zoning in particular you're right in that zoning generally does mean surrendering sone amount of grd- it basically attaches a cost to doing it that goes beyond just spending meter. mika is great at stalling the timer with cannon but you may likely lose the next cycle if you do so you have to ask if it makes sense to go for it i don't know exactly how to sell uni to people who are turned off by grd because a lot of the reasons i like the system are basically just all of the reasons people *don't* like it lol but maybe the system changes in UNI2 will do something for people who gave it a try then bounced off? i dunno. i like uni a lot and want more people playing it, or at least trying it even if they go "eh not for me" at the end of the day
Thanks for the thoughtful response. I do intend to try UNI2 when it releases. It'd be good for me to have another game to really enjoy playing other than Rev2 given its relatively limited playerbase.
