I'm a huge Lil Wayne fan, but realistically speaking we have to be honest about his catalogue and admit that while he does have undeniable hits, they are not suitable for the Super Bowl simply bc of the strong lyrical content. Picking Kendrick can definitely be argued to be a slight towards Drake and Wayne, however Jay-Z did help Wayne while he was going thru it with Birdman and Cash Money so I doubt there was malicious intent behind it.
