There was another story at a school I think where there was an insectoid that was great at camouflage and the human could see there was something wrong in that spot, but couldn't see it. The bright orange part is funny, but not entirely untrue. Gazelles are a brownish orange color and they blend in with grass (both green grass, and dry grass) to their predators that don't have color vision.
