ohh thank you so much for leaving such nice feedback! I am really glad the info from the guide is helping out, and *especially* glad you're sharing the tips further :D Thats really the spirit of Eureka as content, the ability to help each other is better than what any guide can provide. When Light DC Eureka was "dead", these small random groupings with a few people I'd meet were how we started a discord that actually grew into a much bigger community over the years, so you never know, things on Materia may yet pop off with time :D Sadly, this guide has been made a few months prior to the free trial addition of Eureka, BUT I did actually make a free trial "addendum" to the guide (on my channel too), that covers in more detail on when to join a party, how to avoid aggro and how to craft your own potions of harmony and such. It's not the ideal solution, but hopefully those who need it - find it. As a player who can communicate though, you can use the /say chat to them, they can use /say chat back (you just need to be really close), sometimes that comes handy. Eureka on free trial is basically like hard mode haha, a bit like in the "old days" where we had no special items added...

haha well, this is just because *this* guide is very comprehensive and focused to optimise your every step. If you want to get the basics, just watch chapter 2 and you'll have enough info to go by yourself. Everything is timestamped so you can jump around and not watch everything at once! @@StoneyNegroni Thank youu! It is very motivating to go through this footage actually, and see how much I got better despite the failures so far. You know, that monkey pull got me brave enough to kill some 10 monkeys-no steel later, and then a random one of them killed me xD Just crit me enough, I got too comfortable haha... So yea, still scary, but "sleep" is an ability I really started to appreciate as a caster. Gooooood luck with your own attempts again!

@AbsoluteEse Oh and I'm sure you know already but most enemies on 171-179 can be put to sleep. So if you ever hit a luring, just sleep them all and run 2 rooms away. They will de-aggro, and you will be relieved :)

you dont have to stay in pyros, you can finish weapon later if you wish. Only pagos weapon is needed for elemental gear (and 5 logos action found). Use this website to help you with crafting when you need it ffxiv-eureka.com/logograms

you can only craft 1 ability from level 35-38, after you do your quests on level 38, you can craft 2 abilities. Slow down the footage if needed, and put the logograms inside exactly as shown, it should work. Bloodbath L (and later Platebearer+Bloodbath) is still the best combination to use on any DPS. Bloodbath L lasts 45 seconds, and it can be used every 60 seconds - meaning you have 15 seconds of time without self healing. In these 15 seconds, pull less enemies (stagger), use your own regular bloodbath / second wind / shadeshift, anything defensive. Don't forget Eurekan potions.

@@leocreuu3254 yes of course! Thats why i recommend getting to 60 first, with minor weapon steps complete, and then go back wherever you need to - stronger and more knowledgeable about what you can do :)

do what works best for you, as long as its at least 1 level higher! Viper is actually one of the squishest jobs in the game (scouting has very low base defense, and viper doesn't have any shields unlike ninja, rpr or most other jobs). So maybe its also a good idea to play Eureka on something with a bit more sustainability - though anything is doable :)

Bloodbath is dangerous from 35-38 when you can only use single logos action, true, I've mentioned it as well! But once you can pair it with Platebearer at lvl 38, you'll be unkillable :) Just be a bit more careful with the pulls early on, since Bloodbath is 40 seconds with 45 seconds cooldown, try to use regular defensive (like regular bloodbath, or second wind, or vercure...depending on your job) in those 5 seconds and try to pull less in that little window

@@marfur9 its for convenience / future proofing, cause you need 1 weapon to start Light farming in Pagos as early as possible. If you want go make any weapons in the future this will save you quite some time. And pagos weapon is also needed for elemental gear, if that interests you. But other than that, ofc you don’t “have to” build one. Sorry for the late answer also, vacationing right now so i missed it yesterday

@@AbsoluteEse Well day one about the two hour forty-five marker I achieved level eighteen! I had the magicite board filled and unlocked Pagos. The only thing I have left is to max the relic and achieve level 20!! Your guide is/was amazing! This was all done with an almost dead Anemos I think I only had like 3 or 4 Fates that popped and people where around to help out. So your guide is freaking amazing! I wish I could endorse it more.

you're right, sorry! I had a hard time managing audio at that time as I was in the middle of changing some equipment and moving location, so its not perfect. I did write up subtitles for the video so hopefully this can help understanding some bits if you toggle them on! They aren't autogenerated, so they'll make actual sense, hopefully this helps

thanks! It was one of the easier jobs here, for me, its doing a lot of damage and its fun to dash around. That being said, it was my 12th clear here, so probably a bit easier still for that reason... EO is great for reclears, once you learn mechanics of everything you can relatively easily reclear it on different jobs, which is fun :D

Okay, definitely for the armor you NEED elemental weapon from Pagos, so you also need to make Anemos weapon, which is why I'm heavily advising in the guide to make Anemos weapon before lvl 25 so you can immediately start gathering light in Pagos at 25 (blue quest), that saves you a lot of time. If you are a bit late on the light grind, don't worry! It's gonna be a bit slower, but remember that light is tied to the "exp", so anything that gives better exp affects the light gain. Higher level mobs, mutations/adaptations, potion of harmony, fairy buff. Once you're in Pyros, you'll only need to get to max level, finish questline and unlock all logos actions to get access to the vendor - provided your Pagos weapon is finished. No other weapon upgrades are needed for +1 ;) Hope this helps, and good luck to you and your friends! Thank you for the lovely comment :)

@AbsoluteEse I love PoTD! I'm not a necromancer yet(sad) but I've been so close so many times! Been to the 190's as a RDM and a MCH. I wiped on 198, that was my best run! It's just easier when you can mitigate damage by always being able to move. As for the dawntrail changes, BLM might be more difficult on your solo runs. You won't have as much damage with your thunders, and no more sharp cast 😢 Potency buffs coming soon!

@@StoneyNegroni hell yea, you're almost there!! I also got my first clear on MCH and oof, it took me a while, so I get you. Soon! And yeah, for DT changes I'm mostly worried about the ice phase ngl, having to cast through it to replenish mana means less kiting and that's... scary. We'll see

@AbsoluteEse I'm not sure if it works the same in earlier BLM levels, but you get a free thunderhead proc every time you switch phases now, so you have an instant thunder more often. Potential to kite a bit :)

But hey, i think i never really played blm optimally anyway, cast way too much ice haha, so maaaybe it’ll suit me? There are still a “couple” of runs to go before i reach DT in youtube video format at least, so weeee’ll see :D I plan to try a run after the next hotfixes on stream

Hey well I hope you enjoy it! Honestly, Bozja really is great for levelling, especially once you're at the end of last zone, you can just chill there and grind skirmishes, its very quick and comfy. The guide will hopefully help clarifying some things out, but i'd say Bozja can generally be quite cozy if you just follow the quests the game gives you :D Eureka is much much more of a "thing", definitely something that doesn't hold players hands haha

hey nice, good luck! I recommend the weapon being finished before lvl 25 in Pagos, so you can immediately start on the light grind there - helps a lot with gear and weapons later. Soo perhaps if you want, you could move on to Pagos and keep an eye on a Pazuzu window in Anemos, come back when the instance is busy doing FATEs and killing Pazuzu, might be a bit faster for you if it aligns that way. Just try to finish it sooner rather than later :D

In my experience, its not dead, usually there are 30-60 people inside instances if you’re going in somewhat prime times. Evenings, weekends. Mornings are kinda dead and some of the newest data centers are kinda dead (Dynamis) However my Eureka and Bozja guides are both written for solo play so you can follow them along and not have issues, if you dont have people around. Good luck!

In my experience it never truly dies. It may appear that way when new content drops but people flock back because there's always people that want something from there. So I would say that it's a place that stays relevant.

@@Art2D2 oh yeah definitely! I actually think Eureka had its golden age in Shadowbringers and Bozja in Endwalker haha, its really nice to be in these instances when there is 20-40 people in, instead of 72-144 (a bit of chaos appears here when too busy). The reason why I say "newest DCs are kinda dead", is because they generally have lower population and then the niche content like field instances have even less population. You'll still find people there sometimes, and I am sure the content there will grow. However, I sometimes literally go to Dynamis Eureka when I want a solo instance to farm bunnies, for example :')
