@@izukumidoriya8309 yee. It hurts against Paleo. But the white forest engine carries this deck. Tenpai is in a bit of a the same situation. Banishing chundra makes it more difficult to fully combo. Playable just more fragile.

Just a quick question : how do you manage when you're 1rst turn and your opponent plays maxx c? What's the best combo to be ready but with the minimum of special summonings?

@@clarkquent7063 that is a great question and a difficult one to answer. Especially with mulcharms out. Depending on the deck. Let's say Tenpai, you might as well go for broke because you will die next turn. It's super counter productive to give draws because the whole point of spright Runick is to bait hand traps, go to an end board where your opponent only has a few cards left to play and you can interrupt your opponent on average 3-4 times. With spright engine unfortunately there not much you can do. Going all the way to Elf is a lot of draws. At least have red/carrot on board for a negate. In my experience, I'll lose a lot of my turn one games under max c unless I have only cards. I'll just try to get fountain with Runick cards and pass. So Ideally, fountain with Runick cards pass with a red/carrot.

@@ash-island- really touching. Yes I'll try to go to masters 1. Just things in life make it busy and not enough time to play. So I play when I can to climb. I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh for a few months so. It's hard to learn other deck weakness. I feel rushed with time limit. So I guess it's just experience I'll naturally gain. Let alone continuously trying to find best ratios in a changing meta. Also my MD ID is 091-287-772. Ill follow you back.

Great question. It's a bit expensive to run for me. Maybe I'll test it. I don't test because of conflict with fountain. It's neat how diabel can send on their turn too.

@@prome7183 it's pretty situational ideally if u have Runick cards and fountain on field. You can just pass and pray. With white forest engine you can just go recila and have woes set and pass. Hard to extend sometimes but depends on deck you face. If it's Tenpai. You might as well just go full combo because you might get smashed

Tbh Runick combo decks are what i would call very "freestyle" since the plays change depending on what you draw into with fountain, rucia, coral dragon or tri edge and on what cards you get handtrapped on or play around so you have to be able to make up a lot of plays on the fly. The best way to learn is to analyse the games afterwards and think about what you did and why you did it and evaluate if that was the right course of action and how to improve. It sounds very complicated but that is the nature of the deck and why we play it 😊

​@@arrowofkira5658yeah somewhat agree. But just like the phrase "all roads lead to Rome." A non disruptive turn 1 is going into getting fountain, synchro climb to diabel and synchro 10 with interruptions.

@@marco.k. yeah. From testing. Hand is a little cluttered. Explosive plays but hand traps shuts this deck down. Going second doesn't is a harder challenge. Bystial Runick takes too much set up and is easily interrupted

@@EsmeraldaVids it's not ideal but we still have white forest engine. Depending if you go first or second, you on average have 4+5 disruptions. In addition, you have a chance to chain with diabel to send fountain to graveyard to mis target if they target fountain in some scenarios

Don't be afraid to send fountain. send fountain if you already used effect to draw. (Including the opponents turn) There are situations where you can re summon diabel to get fountain just to play fountain again to play more Runick cards to draw. Fountain is not once per turn if fountain leaves field and played again.

​@@RunicksYGO Seems like a good bottom line. If there are no more forseeable valuable (or any) instances to draw with fountain, send it and worry about it later. Gotcha. @@GugusAnanta probably so. Runick can compete as a archetype, but not the best deck. So splashing other deck engines make Runick super fun for me. Hopefully they put either fountain to two or no longer limit the Runick quick play, or both. It really isn't that op in standard Yu-Gi-Oh meta which is full one card combo. This requires set up.

@@the7deadlysins13 I do too. Fountain to one, fine. But limiting and semi limiting the Runick cards is just a bit too much. It's not that op. And they require set up Runick that can be easily shut down. I personally think WF Runick is strongest within Runick syncros. Compared to something like Bystial Runick.

@lh3424 thank means a lot. Merry Christmas. Id say invest in staples like hand traps (non engine) and a deck engine you enjoy so you don't mind playing a lot to farm for the next deck engine. You can build many runick decks as an example. Just don't build more than one deck at the same time unless it was convenient to do (they are in same pack)
