So you dont install subwoofer to go with it ?
We do if the client wants to pay for a subwoofer :)
Can I ask for a more detailed schematic?
You can ask, but I don't have one to give you :)
Banget🎉
Do you have the ic
Hi friend .😊 Can you help me provide the internal measurements. 1._ front angle 2._ cone depth Maybe there is some cost, please let me know.
ayy i have the same subwoofer
Well done
Is that a little BMS tweeter? Great upload
Yep, good eye, that's exactly what it is. Nice drivers.

I found my new calling 😎 unfortunately no one invests or plays music loud enough to require repairs. ☹️ still wouldn't mind seeing my basement look like this shop 🤩 I could break enough for everyone 🤣
Hi How good JF80? What so u use for? DJ. Speech, Live music? Are they 2 way input (low + high) Or 1 x channel speakon input will be ok?
I have a pair of Fisher STE 555 with rotten foams on both subwoofers. Where can you edge foam to repair this woofer. Which speaker has a comparable edge foam? I live in Iceland
Check your email - Just replied. I think we can help you with this if you can pay the shipping costs. We just have to figure out which foam we used.
How much?
Apparently they sell in the ballpark of $3k CAD
good looking receiver 👍🏻
Ironic that a video on audio has shitty, unintelligible audio. Brilliant.
Are we watching the same video..? It should sound like it was shot on a cellphone (..because it was), not sure which part is unintelligible?
So pa equipment designers are meth heads?
What can i do? No audio on channel 1 of my crown xti6002 amp
Hello this is how to remove please ?
I don't know if you can remove the baskets from each other - I think they might be riveted together? We had to cut the foam and then splice it back together once it was installed
@@santonaudio9036 thanks you
What was restored? As an avid speaker restorer myself I was hoping to see a good cone off restoration.
I agree, we should have done a before / after shot, but unfortunately we only have the finished + partially complete project on camera - This was a video showing people that can bring their old Altec's back to life / what they could look like when complete.
How do these Danleys sound compared to competitors in the same market? Does the technology live up to the hype?
Honestly I'm not sure - We didn't really get to test them in a proper set up / do an A/B test against a competitor - From an engineering/craftsmanship perspective this cabinet was very impressive, the build quality was excellent.
who else is making horns like this ???? I see no real competition........
Hey thank you so much. I bought a Bostik glue to replace foams from my Cerwin-Vega e208. Can I use it? Is the bostik raccomended for this work? Thank you 😊
What kind / what model of Bostik glue? As long as it dries with some flexibility it should be okay
@@santonaudio9036 the instructions say: universal quick-setting adhesive....

Hey Mickey Sean here I noticed that you still have some Adamson boxes there listen I’m really interested I have 12 of these boxes now please get a hold of us contact Trevor at the email that I gave you We are always looking for more thanks man yes I’m very serious
Hey Chris if you ever have any more come in please let us know ASAP we are always looking for these boxes even if they’re empty we don’t care
Crossover your tweeter as low as you can to avoid comb filtering at high frequencies due to center to center spacing.
thanks a lat !
I don't understand how great plain audio for a replica of a duplex 604 that has a 3" voice coil can ask $2000 when my 8" failtal coax with 2.56" voice coil and 560w of music power is $1610 less..
I think it's about the history / the story, there's plenty of affordable speakers out there, but the vintage restoration stuff is about the adventure (and some people have the money to throw around).
@@santonaudio9036 hello I absolutely didn't want to denigrate your work as a restorer of historic Altec duplexes that repairing them is already performing a miracle..mine is just a technical consideration in which I found myself when I had to choose the components for my system the estimate he gave me the great plains audio was of at least $3000 without transport for a pair of 605s and I decided to buy much less modern professional components that's all..everyone spends what they want even $5000 for a pair of loudspeakers as long as they don't go and tell people they have seen mother mary listening to them
@@edoardozampetti4601 All good / I feel the same way - If I were building a set of speakers I wouldn't be using 604's either (and not because the Altec's aren't badass, it's purely a cost/benefit ratio against my limited budget haha)
@@santonaudio9036 totally agree with you sir..while not detracting from the glory of altec lansing..the golden age

The whole downside of class Ds is usually when one thing fails it causes a domino effect that destroys a bunch of other things n makes them an absolute nightmare to repair. Whether the issue starts on the sensitive low power side of the circuit with a tiny component or a rail device blows up it works is way down along the circuit in either direction ☹️
Is this in nyc?
Nope, we're up in Canada (Toronto) - Only an ~8 hour drive to NYC though haha
Where did you bought those voice coils and the paper cone! ?
So this supplier used to be in California, but I'm pretty sure they no longer exist - If you want to shoot us an email @ info@santonaudio.ca I can see if we can get one, but I'm not confident unfortunately.
What could the price i need the cone paper , the voice coil and the sorround the model is altec lansing 803A?
Deep dive?? You showed nothing. Some speakers on a bench... so what.
Did you happen to take note of all the driver model numbers? Curious what the woofers are
Unfortunately no - I think we could track down the diaphragm / horn model #, but I'm not sure about the woofer or mid (that's a good idea though, we should start making a point of doing that with these videos)
@@santonaudio9036 Looks like the woofer is a Faital Pro 12HP1060
Hi there, ive got a chance at 4 of these cabs for a bargain price. What is your opinion on them how do they sound , cant find much info on them. Cheers
They're excellent cabinets - They sound great, lots of mids and highs, low mid is strong and tight - The only issue with them is that they're physically huge and can be difficult to move if you're planning on using them as a mobile DJ.
"big pain in the ass" I see why they're expensive and so heavy too.
That was awesome seeing that thing apart. Exciting technology and innovation!
