The aerodynamic pressure reduction resultant of air flowing around an engine or wing tips can cool the air to induce condensation, thus forming 'aerodynamic trails'. This sort of trail is often seen when a jet plane is landing or taking off and close to the surface.

The White Qatar actually came back this morning and will feature on Wednesdays video. We hope to see Etihad increasing their capacity in Nairobi in the coming months

Remember Qatar started nairobi with an A320. Let’s see if Etihad can build up their traffic in Nairobi then we may see larger aircraft

Airlines open new routes or restablish using smaller equipment and as the route matures they get upgraded

I think Etihad has really messed up their Africa strategy and not given expansion here their priority. They were daily here pre covid using the A320 and did some weird move at the tail end of covid flying to Nairobi on Thursdays and Fridays on the 787. During this time QR and EK came back with a double daily widebody each and Air Arabia and Indigo incoming to pick up the tail end of the market. Etihads flip flopping earlier this year with coming back to Nairobi has done it no favours and might have dented its reputation in this market. EY only really has a chance in this market if they have good connecting traffic to Asia and Europe and can price match QR and EK. If they do this I think they ll eventually come here daily, and if our economy improves and/or they capture market share from EK, TK, QR etc they may reintroduce the 787 to Nairobi. As for the passenger experience, A320 is comfortable enough in economy for four hours or so, the extra space comes in to play in premium cabins in my opinion.

@ only time will tell to be honest. Remember Qatar and Emirates are far more established in this market. Air Arabia also has really rooted itself in to Kenyan travelers and from Jan there will be new competition in the form of Salaam Air with a twice weekly A321 NEO service. Etihad is only here four times weekly, so before we get a bigger kite I think they will increase frequencies first
