Stitch Painted Canvas vs. Free-Hand Painted Canvas
มุมมอง 2.6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I get asked the same 2 questions all the time: 1. Why are needlepoint canvases so expensive? 2. What is a stitch painted canvas? I made this video, not to teach you how to paint, but to show you what to look for when purchasing canvases. First, let’s talk about the difference between a stitch painted canvas and free-hand painted canvas: A stitch painted canvas is one where the design is charted...
BLOCKING NEEDLEPOINT CANVAS
มุมมอง 11K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Needlepoint canvases typically get distorted when stitching (yes, even if you are stitching on a frame!) Blocking is the process you do before finishing it to straighten out the canvas to ensure it looks perfect in the finishing. Most finishers will do this for you but if you are wanting to self-finish, you will want to do this first!

Anchoring Thread for Needlepoint
มุมมอง 2.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In order to ensure the back of your needlepoint canvas looks as pretty as the front, you need to anchor your thread behind your stitches. This will eliminate any possible knots! In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to create a waste knot and anchor to begin and end your thread! I hope you find this helpful & please remember to follow me on instagram @SBTstitches! HAPPY STITCHING xx

Those types of projects include belts, keychains, dog collars, wallets, sunglass cases, etc! I hope you enjoy my tutorial & please follow me @SBTstitches! Happy stitching!!

I'm so glad you discussed the design side up/down issue. I always attach mine design side down, no matter what the space, because I find it easier to stitch that way. I stitch with one hand under the canvas and one over it. Great video. Thanks.
