    Nice Bike, stylish 0 to 60 sure you weren't in Learning to Fly mode, as for Figure O did you forget how LOL as for the video volume of speech seemed low cranked up the headphones to almost full volume but got through it, otherwise Job Well Done Cheers 😎🍻

      Yeah I honestly dont know what happened to the speech volume.... I had it at a reasonable volume in the program but some how it lowered it in the export but I didn't realise until too late....

    Nice production! Thank you for the review. I think you are accurate in almost all points except for the weight (11:55). It is not heavier than other models in its class, it is actually one of the lightest if not the lightest.

    • @AMotorcyclesTale

      You are right.. I did mess that up... Depends on what we put it against.. It's about 5 Kilos lighter than the GB350. Definitely less than the Rebel 500. The CB300 is less than the Eliminator. But the Eliminator is a REALLY good bike.... Had lots of fun riding it.

    Time to include highway testing into the "Tale" of these motorcycles. If they are to be used on the highway, the story of those attributes should be told as well, don't ya think???

      Interesting... I like that idea.... I need to think how to do it... What I good idea. I think it would only be for the bigger bikes.... DEFINITELY not the Grom's or Scooters of the world LOL

    • @AMotorcyclesTale

    Nice bike, as for figure O's we could add our own commentary 2 for 22 beautiful Figure O there Ritchie, Careful you'll become the singing Bikie 🧐🧐 but the bike seemed to handle all that you threw at it,😎 as for the next Bike when are you doing your Big Bike??

    • @AMotorcyclesTale
      @AMotorcyclesTale หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hahahahah You confused me for a second with the Ritchie comment but then I realised you were going for a cricket meme... Well done. As for the other 3 bikes I own the work bike will probably be this year cause I think I might replace it with the Hornet cause the Hornet is really good for my job and so I will need to review it before I sell it. The other 2 I think will be next year.... Maybe Jan, Feb or March... Which includes THE BIG Bike... However because my Big Bike is customed I'm thinking that an awesome friend of mine in America will do a second set of Figure 0's and 8's for me so there is a comparison between a standard and a custom version of the bikes. The Eliminator might just become another work bike for bigger people than my Grom can handle lol.

  • @robertocojones4471
    @robertocojones4471 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I really appreciate how your review includes things like tests and actually measuring the braking distance. Other reviews will just say things like ''the brakes feel good'' or ''it handles nimbly.'' Being able to see those results makes comparing the bike's performance to others much easier.

    • @AMotorcyclesTale
      @AMotorcyclesTale หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you I really appreciate the comment... I feel I am the only "person" doing this style of proper tests all in one video. Ive seen exactly the same as you describe in other "reviews" I even watched a guy say "ok Im going to do a figure 0 now so you can see how it turns" and then before the turn, he cut the video to when he had finished the turn lol didn't see anything of the turn! I know that the 0 to 60kms could be better but most of the bikes aren't mine and I don't want to damage them so I do a close effort so people can see what they are basically capable of.

      Great angles and review overall! As an artist, Quick tip for color is to mimic the “hdr” look you see in flagship phone videos since it’s tuned to be appealing for majority of people then save each setting on your camera depending on weather in your area. As is the video looks little too much blacks. Thanks for the video!

    I've had back surgery and I've had my shadow aero 750 for 10 years. I though about a new bike but this bike is so easy to get off and on of. I can't imagine getting rid of it. I've walked around the show room and left. I've been riding for 44 years. Once you've had a bike and put the accessories on it that you like ,its just better to stick with it.

    • @AMotorcyclesTale
      @AMotorcyclesTale 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Ya... The Shadows are certainly easy on easy off. So is my VT1300 Sabre its even lower than the Shadow. It's heavier than the Shadow tho. I've had a number of different bikes over my 30 years of riding and I always come back to cruisers.... Love them... I owned a XBR-500 for 10 years loved that bike... But it was a kitchen chair rather than a cruiser... Every personal bike I have owned has been a Honda.... I have owned some work bikes that were not Honda's but I would rather a Honda than anything else.

    Nicely made video, but I don't like your pussy-footing when you mention the bikes lack of power. As I mentioned to other posts the beach bars (not standard I am sure at least I never had beach bars on my shadow 750) were dropped lower and wouldn't allow for a full lock they hit my knees stopping a full lock. I also owned a Shadow and could turn it tighter than this video. The owner has since lifted them up to a more normal position and if I were to go back and refilm the figure O's I would be able to turn tighter. 😁

    I feel like it's "damning with faint praise" when people describe the Honda Shadow as a perfect first bike for a new rider. It is that, of course, but that incorrectly implies that it's not a fantastic bike for more experienced riders as well. The Shadow can easily be a "forever bike". It's up for touring, Iron Butts, commuting, or anything else (other than racing) that you want to throw at it. Even if you're vain and shallow like I am, you can park a Shadow 750 next to any other cruiser and it still looks like a proper grown-up bike. Throw a proper set of pipes on it (like V&H Short Shots) and it sounds every bit the muscle cruiser as well. We live in an era where anything less tan 1500cc is considered a "girl's bike", which is total BS. that 750 is plenty powerful enough for real world riding, and being 200+ lbs less than that Suzuki M109 or Harley Street Glide offers lots of advantages to offset the missing additional HP and torque. Also, I LOVE the beach bars on my Shadow. Maybe not optimal for really tight maneuvers, but fantastic for regular riding.

    • @AMotorcyclesTale
      @AMotorcyclesTale 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know that it is a perfect bike for a first time rider... Imagine a 5 foot 2 50kg woman with no leg strength trying to hold that up... Its not a heavy bike for a 5 foot 10 person..... Its not a light bike at 230kg (505 pounds)... I don't know about racing, someone I knew kept asking me to race him and I kept saying only to the speed limit, which he didn't want to do he wanted to go faster than the limit... He knew of course that I would beat him to the speed limit, so that's why he didn't want to do that... He owned a Goldwing LOL. The Bobbers that are coming out of Shadows are just beautiful of course... I'm shallow I loved my Shadow.... Didn't want to sell it... Definitely never had a problem going distance on it. 100% it can be a lifetime bike... I never thought of it as a "girls bike" hence why I owned one.. My problem with the beach bars during the tests was, that when I went to turn they would hit my legs and I couldn't full lock the steering which would have allowed for tighter turns... It turns out that the bars were at the wrong angle... The owner has since rolled them up and now they don't hit legs when turning. I keep thinking maybe I should do an update with the fixed handlebars Thank you for the comment. I super appreciate it.

I would surely appreciate the feedback. The Hornet was definitely worth the ride. It makes me consider getting one for my work as a motorcycle instructor.

      Gave it a thumbs up, but the video is a bit grainy, and contrasty....might be because I have HDR on, but it also feels choppy, on a 165hz monitor so I don't usually experience that. Just some constructive feedback I hope :) Oh and the music drowns everything out. Including your sweet voice. I'd really like to hear a bike when you review it instead of some generic music :(

      @AMotorcyclesTale 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RJMStraya Yes I had a few technical isses with the editing of the video so it didn't come out as sweet as it has before... I normally have the music down low so you can just hear it (most times) but this episode definitely left me struggling with the various things that went haywire between corrupted footage, missing sound, weird camera wobbles.... All great fun lol

    I'm guessing the next one is a CB500F. I'm looking to get into motorcycling and I appreciate your videos. Not just the information you provide, but the style in which you provide it. Right now, I"m considering either the 390 Duke, the Z500, or the CFMoto 450 NK. If you haven't reviewed any of those bikes, I hope you will one day.

      Hey There, Thank you for your most kind encouragement. My first season was not anything fantastic, but I do think I am getting better in season 2 lol. Sometimes people need just that. I have up my sleeve a 2023 KTM 390RC to review, I was putting it off but maybe I'll release the video in the next few releases. As for the next bike well it is a Honda but not the CB500...

    Hey AMT! The GB350 is great! I’m currently riding the Indian variant H’ness CB350 (GB350 in Japan). There are more to Honda’s 350cc series so here’s some insights! H’ness CB350 (India) - GB350 (Japan) CB350RS (India) - GB350S (Japan) CB350 (India) - GB350C (Japan) Honda BigWing India just released the CB350 in 2023 and the Japanese variant, GB350C, will be on Japanese shores in June 2024. Love the look of this version. Check it out! P.S, I live in Singapore and am riding a 2022 H’ness CB350 Anniversary Edition through parallel import. A definite decent modern classic bike!

The first time was just before Christmas (that's when I did the ride), the second was in June-July (your mid-winter). My wife came with me for that one and we spent lots of time outside in shorts, t-shirts and light jackets. We even went to the beach at Noosa (wasn't very busy, LOL). Just wanted to add in case there's beginners considering a Honda Shadow: I'm a new(-ish) rider and have a Honda Shadow Phantom as a first bike. I tend to disagree with the Shadow not being considered beginner friendly. As mentioned in the video, the bike is very stable, and the low center of gravity makes it easy to manage. There's just enough power to do all you need it to do, but not too much power where it'll escape you. It's also very easy to work on; however, the low seat height can make oil changes a struggle. All things considered, if you've completed a riding course and therefore have some familiarity with bikes, especially cruisers, the Honda Shadow is a great choice for less spirited riding such as around town, back roads, and highway riding.

    • @AMotorcyclesTale
      @AMotorcyclesTale 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello there... So it's all a matter of perspective I guess. Someone that has a height between 4f 10in and 5f 6in with no leg strength would you recommend a 229 kg / 504.9 lb motorcycle to them... No probably not. Tho there are absolutely those people who are as game as anything to get themselves into trouble for sure... As a 6f person myself who did own a Honda Shadow 750 (but not my first bike) while I agree that it is easy to ride and could make a good beginner bike IF it wasn't for the weight of the bike itself and the CC's. I personally think 500cc's or less is a good starting point, and I would never have touched the shadow 750 as my first bike and you couldn't have paid me to (but again thats just me and my perspective, I am glad that you felt free to add your perspective, because for me I've been riding for over 30 years and it is a little hard to remember what it was like as a new rider)... Now the Honda Shadow 400 might be a different kettle of fish... Anyone locally got one for me to review =-) I do agree if somone has done some professional courses then riding a bigger bike might be ok. But for someone who has never touched or spat at a bike or even sat on one.... I would still say don't ride the shadow as your first bike.

    As always . . . Magnificent job, there Mystery Man! . . . Now you need to hand out some trophies, gifts or even some shout out's to the owners in appreciation. In the future you could possibly allow the bike's owners a minute or two to add their reasons on why they chose their bikes, and then have them share their likes & dis-likes, and adding any other comments about the bike after riding it for awhile, to help tell the "Motorcycle's Tale!"
