Why tf are you using a non impact socket trying to impact off the spacer nuts…
I was using my trail kit and couldn’t find it. Will buy another or grab one from work.
I call BS. Where are the Palm Trees and Beaches??? :D
@@johntuttle9544 buried under the snow of course!
Another good one Mike! While you guys were up at the top, we were busy pulling out other's at the same point where I got stuck 🤣
@@conjin1 thanks! Yes I saw a couple of those. Quite a sight to see the LMTV recovering 👍
Great video! I’m planning on doing rubicon trail in June. Does the Cherokee have lockers? It did really good!
@@brad5095 awesome hope you have a great time. No lockers on the Grand Cherokee (big blue). It did very well.
No music would be way better
@@dailylife3975 I did less music on the next one. Should be out soon.
Nice job filming. Were the blue Jeep and truck on 33" tires?
@@daleboyish yes they were
@@GuardOffroad Would be interested in running with you guys if your looking for another rig
@ cool, message the channel on Facebook
Looks like a great trail where is it located?
@@daleboyish this is Silver Fork rd southwest of Tahoe.
DO you think Deer V is doable in a 2 door JK 3.5 lift on 33" tires, which actually measure 32", without to much scrapping?
@@daleboyish definitely. Went through the other way (harder way) with a WJ on 33s and a Tacoma on 33s last year.
I like offraoding vids like this that have no music or excessive talking. Just the wheeling
Maybe the next one will be without music again. Thought I would try it. Thanks!
Just found the channel! Great content!! I'm a few hrs out from these locations. Would love to tag along 2020 JL 35's
Thanks! Just waiting for snow. Maybe a signal peak run soon.
Looks like a fun day! I need to get my butt back out west soon!
Where are these trails located?
I believe they are southeast of Lake Tahoe near Markleeville, CA
@@ryanhubbard6778 they are both in Alpine county as far as I know.
Those LMTV tires on ice are useless. I got suck on complete flat terrain a few times and on ice, just slides off the road. Then I installed a rear Detroit locker. Huge difference. Then v-bar chains are a must. It becomes unstoppable with chains and rear locker.
@@OOOOutdoorOffGridOverland what pressure did you run on ice? I ask because we went snow wheeling a couple times and the second time out he went down to 30 and seemed unstoppable. He does have chains as well but don’t think he had them on. Also, he now has a rear ARB locker and a new paint job. Hope he comes out again this season.
@@GuardOffroad all pressures. Of course down to 6 psi makes a difference but it is slow. I have brand new Michelin X 2024dot now and I will sip and groove them, hopefully will do something. Sadly ARB does not make that big lockers.
@@OOOOutdoorOffGridOverland I will ask him what locker but I could have sworn he said ARB. Maybe it was a Detroit style. I’ll ask.
@@GuardOffroad I double checked. No ARB yet for LMTV. Maybe one day 😉
@@OOOOutdoorOffGridOverland he said Lincoln type locker.
My daughter and I met you on the slabs right before whale bones. Need more wheelers like you guys. Talked to most of your crew. See you on the trail!
@@tntzimmerman9552 yeah you guys are in the video. I didn’t get a chance to talk but thanks for the kind words. I’ll let them know.
Nice to see some more down to earth Jeeps. I have a 2 door Rubicon on 34s this gives me a lot of confidence to plan a trip to run the trail
@@TxJK18 thanks! You should have no problem with lockers and 34s with the short wheelbase. Get out there!
I wonder if the big truck had tire chains if that would have helped/? too bad the big truck doesn't have front and rear lockers.
@@King_TuTT he now has a rear locker and a new paint job. Hopefully he’ll come out snow wheeling again. He has chains but didn’t really need them in that surface. Just backed into a hole.
@@GuardOffroad looks like a blast! I wonder If finding a locker was difficult to find for that truck, let along installing it. that would be a good video
@@King_TuTT yeah must have been quite the repair. Hopefully we’ll catch up with him soon. Maybe he’ll have some video on the install.
If you need a new swaybar disconnect look at SwayLoc I love it on my JK. How do you keep your hand held radio attached above the driver window?
@@daleboyish thanks but I bought a manual disconnect on Amazon that works great. I just clip the radio on the roll bar grab handle.
Well filmed. Good driving on the 35's. Kind of feel the 40's are cheating.
@@daleboyish thanks! I kinda of feel like 37s will be perfect 👍
Enjoyed the video. Nice too see less built up Jeeps do the trail. I'm running a 2dr JK on 33's and a lift, if your looking for more drivers keep me in mind.
Thanks! Will do!
Damn right he’s a good welder, that’s my brother Jon & he’s one of the best if not the best fabricator in Reno.
Thank you for letting us use your welder! You definitely helped salvage the Ranger’s trip.

@@shawnhudson7570 thanks! I saw someone sells the aluminum handled copy for less 🤔
The Evo disconnect is worth the money.
@@CallaFab I went with the copy with the aluminum knob. You can see it near the end of the last video.

Good vid guys! We were in the group in front of you guys! Nice meeting you all! I had the Grey Jeep Commando.
Thanks, it was nice meeting you guys too! Sweet commando 👍
@@GuardOffroad Thanks!
Bad spotting in this video.I spotted better when i was a teenager on the Rubicon then some of these guys. You want your tires on top of the rock's that way you don't hang up on your dif or undercarriage
Nice 👍
@@GuardOffroad I thought you guys did a great job.
@@classVTaco thanks. We had fun
Super fun trail 👍😎
We had a guy 2 weeks ago roll his Jeep on that trail after the first obstacle. His suspension flexed out and his brake line broke. Was told 3 times to fix it. He wanted to wait till he got to flat ground. Next thing you knew it he rolled it on top of the roof. I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson that day. My crew didn't even get a chance to get to the bottom. Their day run trip ended right there. Took one Jeep to pull and another Jeep to push it out.
I heard about that. I’m really glad him and his family are ok
Did it memorial day weekend, oh how fun!!!
Yeah I saw your video with the adventure crew. Badass xj you got there!
@@GuardOffroad Dude, thanks, I can't believe how high the lake is already, wow...... This is a very tough trail, I was pretty nervous the whole way down. You guys killed it !!
@@TheAngryCamper yes it was rising fast! Awesome trail. Can’t believe I only winched once 😆. Very tough!
@@GuardOffroad apparently next time I do this trail I am not allowed a spotter :O, so I will be bringing diapers ;)
@@TheAngryCamper dang! He’s going all Mr. Miyagi on you 😆
Ampin
Did he even use the central tire system to air down?
He did, just not low enough. Second time out was better.
Disconnect the sway bar AND the track bar and the YJ will actually flex. You don't really need the track bar on a YJ because the leaf springs hold the axle in the center.
If you use your brakes and throttle till pressure is applied then release the brakes it usually fully locks the differentials on some military vehicles….enjoy
He was just figuring things out on his first snow trip. His second trip was awesome. He was aired down lower and climbing hills, pulling out two jeeps at a time. No problems in the deep stuff either.
Without lockers, that’s a liability.
You should see it aired down.
Tyler is a journalist...Good Job! 🤩
Does the LMTV not have lockers ?
No lockers but he’s considering it.
Put a detroit eaton no spin in the lmtv for next time...
I think it has air lockers for the front and rear and centre…but he might just not know how to use any of it.
@@someguy4476 none of them have air lockers
Great until you get it really stuck....then a little 4500lb jeep aint pulling that 10klb truck out
It’s an 18klb truck and he was barely stuck and the little Jeep couldn’t pull out the truck. He used his winch.
What mount did you use for the front reservoir?
Dobinsons mount
Thank you for inviting me to go with yall! Had so much fun! Will be buying a jeep asap
It was great having you along! You definitely need a bigger vehicle for next time 😉
