Nuparu Design Presents: Vahki (Bionicle Day 2023)
Nuparu Design™ is proud to present the Vahki. A new era dawns on the people of Metru Nui. Through a marriage of elegant design, cutting-edge technology and masterful engineering we have created the next generation of law enforcement. Our fellow citizen may now rest assured that their safety lies in the capable hands of several thousands of mindless killer drones.
I've always been really fascinated by the way the Lego models were redesigned for the movies. The Vahki were always especially intriguing, not only because we only got to see two out of the six variants. So i took matters into my own hands and recreated Keerakh and Bordakh in the style of the movies. I just had to throw together a product trailer.
Happy late Bionicle Day!

Why The Ratchet & Clank Soundtrack Is A Perfect Fit
มุมมอง 240K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The original Ratchet & Clank's Soundtrack is amazing. That much can be distilled from comments on TH-cam alone. But after listening through the Soundtrack countless times I noticed that there's more layers to this OST that deserve praise. In this video we'll take a deep dive into the inner workings of this Soundtrack and find out what David Bergeaud did to make it so unique. Links n stuff: Big ...
Aster - Night Drive (ADAM Competition Entry) #adamaudio #soundtrack
มุมมอง 1.7K5 ปีที่แล้ว
My entry for the ADAM Audio Soundtrack Competition. I was going for something atmospheric and melancholic with many moody synth sounds, to fit the grainy, dark, urban look of the picture.

[UYA] How To Screw Up Your Ship
มุมมอง 2K11 ปีที่แล้ว
This is another example of a glitch that Idol Minds brought to UYA. If you keep opening and closing the ship vendor it might - (might!) - happen, that your ship gets really fucked up. Either it gets all messy (like here) or it simply disappears. To get it back to normal, go to another planet or open the vendor again.
[UYA] Blitzgun WTF?
มุมมอง 1.7K11 ปีที่แล้ว
I was recording a CTF on Marcadia, i wasn´t sure if it´s gonna be a good game or not (turned out it was´nt) and i cought a crazy blitz shot on video. I´m pretty sure that´s not normal, right? Btw, yes, i suck with my editing program, i know ;)
[UYA Matches] CTF On Bakisi
มุมมอง 1.1K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a simple CTF on Bakisi Isles. It is clearly more skilled than the last game on X12, but nothing hard. I actually did quite bad this match, not many kills, no caps, that awful suicide on the blue bridge and somehow i managed to get hit by every damn Gravi in this game... While i was waiting for my friends to finish their match i decided to join a Noob Game just for fun. I definitly didn´t try hard on this match, but in the end it was still a funny match. RED: - aster6000 (me) - Rampolita BLUE - metealp8 - metealp8-2

The Liberator vs the Devastator
มุมมอง 1.1K14 ปีที่แล้ว
One of the most famous Bounty hunter in the Galaxy was sent to destroy one of the biggest Threat in the Galaxy. The Liberator... Will he succeed?? And... if the Liberator is killed, would the fight be over?? I'm thinking about making series of the Devastator. Should i?
I would like to see a music theory analysis of the Ratchet & Clank OST. Maybe by David Bennett Piano.
Ratchet and Clank (2002, PS2) was the first video game I got hooked on. Since then I've been a Ratchet & Clank fan.
I never had the chance to play RC when I had a PS2 back in the 2000s. I was finally able to beat it earlier this year on my Steam Deck. Freaking love the soundtrack!
i geniunely watched this whole video without blinking, its really entertaining, really good video brother
In terms of quantity the first game had and still has "the best soundtrack" of the entire series, but some levels from the 2 and 3rd game have very good tracks. Il point some: 2nd game Barlow, Dobbo, Boldan, Snivelak 3rd game Zygan system obani gemini, Koros command center, Joraal nebula leviathan, Thran asteroid quark hideut
....WELL,CONSIDERING DEVELOPMENT TIME,THO .....SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT WAS PUT INTO that....ONE OF BEST GAMES ever,HEHE
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. The PS2 Ratchet & Clank games will forever hold a special place in my heart and the depth this video went in to did the games justice. Also the memes were amazing
i swear to god ratchet 1's soundtrack is one of the ost which will randomply pop up in my mind and i'll be jamming it out to metropolis for example
Very good video. Must've taken a lot of work. Learned quite a lot about one of my favorite games of all time (probably only topped by its sequel). Can tell you love the game too
@@Glispick Thank you! Oh absolutely, the sequel somehow manages to ramp things up even more ;)
@aster6000 Yeah it's amazing imo. One of the best sequels I've ever played.
This honestly has all the vibes of a car commercial, as well as a toy commercial. ...And I kinda want one.😂
@@thesupershinymegagengar2034 There's a little bit of Gaming Console Reveal in there too ;)
Did they censor the game names in other countries? 😂
Surprised you didn't talk about the Deadlocked OST - it was also a very underrated banger, but very different departure from the first 3 soundtracks.
Glad to see someone so obsessed with this soundtrack as I am. Fun fact, the composer of the Donkey Kong Country soundtracks (1-3) and the composer of R&C are both first named David. Both soundtracks I can listen to on repeat with no issue at all. Absolute legends.
I actually can't believe it's taken 3 years for this video to hit my radar - this is the best analysis of ANY game soundtrack I've seen; thank you so much. FINALLY... the video I literally didn't know I needed. Ratchet & Clank was one of the first games I ever played when a demo-disc came out, as you mentioned, and even from then I distinctly remember the way the music and entire atmos' of the game made me feel. It was instrumental in my love and fascination for music and music to moving images - this video perfectly encapsulates everything I've ever thought (or even obsessed about) with this game, having spent countless amounts of years trying to share or explain it. Thank you, this video deserves so many more eyeballs on it.
@@chillingwithshillam That's so good to hear, it's why i made this video! I remember i kept hoping to stumble upon a video on these soundtracks, until one day i woke up and thought "wait a minute.. why not do it myself?". I figured i can't be the only one who's patiently waiting for that, so decided to put an end to the wait for all my fellow obsessed ;)
@@aster6000 you absolute diamond, thank you so much. I absolutely love that accent of yours too, and I've not checked but immediately all I heard was Swedish?? Super easy to listen to and even easier to understand! Thank you again my brother. And yes, honestly, you've done yourself, myself and all of our obsessed comrades and sisters a HUGE solid!! 🤘🏼
Awesome analysis! Could you recommend some great courses or books for composing music?
Holy shit I had never heard the stereo track before. I didn’t realize what we were missing. Apparently I’ve been starving for water in the dessert and that gave me a small teasing drink. And there’s not more of it? How can I continue on?
0:25 AHHH
Came back and damn it’s still so good 4:38pm Oct 10 24 Thursdays
Ah finally, an add that I would really like to see 👏👏👏
Masterpiece!!
This along with that samurai jack ep when he goes to the rave are probably responsible for me getting into electronic music. Love to hear your take on Jack and the rave btw.
When you make tye video on rc2
Gosh there is so much potential here! It looks so polished too ^^
I only like the first two games personally. I play the didgeridoo, and One and Commando have some good songs to try to emulate. Wupash nebula, Maktar Resort, Metropolis and Megapolis are all neat to play. Overtones on Megapolis.
Glad I'm not the only one obsessed with this soundtrack. Thank you David Bergeaud and Insomniac games for bringing this world to life! Love this video ❤ I have DB to thank for opening me up to the Big Beat Genre, which is also home to The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim etc). Ps Metropolis is the best track for sure 😂
@@SDB_ash Would you believe i only found out about the Genre "Big Beat" after i already started writing this video? Suddenly i had a name for that iconic 2000's sound, big "aha" moment for me ;)
❤🙏
We need you once again, king
TH-cam literally starting to read my mind of what im asking for.
20:18, he's saying, "we're gonna get this place." I know this because of Alex Yard.
To a lot of us fans of the series, the Annihilation Nation staging area theme, hold a special space in our hearts. To those that do know, that was the lobby music for Multiplayer.
yuppp! And that spaced out Multiplayer Menu music was so otherworldly
Incredibly well put together video! I really hope to see you uploading more 😁
what track is that at 11:58
Oltanis Orbit - Gemlik Base from R&C1
R&C 3 had most action based music ever David really went full DJ mode on it ,music till this day sounds fanstastic to listen
@@TopMike55 Don't forget Deadlocked though! I think that one takes the crown with the action but i agree R&C 3's music had a special place in my heart
good video.
I always thought of Veldin and Pokitaru being similar because it's meant to be a 'Home away from Home"
Hell yes. A video rightfully praising DB's gift to mankind with such detail and explanation. Loved it man, thank you for bringing back my nostalgia!
Lol, I don't think Nuparu would advertise his involvement with the Khrawlie. THey were such a disaster. ALso love how the background music is that song from Bionicle Heroes but reworked to be sleeker and more impressive sounding, very fitting for the ad.
Thank you for making this video. I always found R&C 1 soundtrack outstanding and memorable but I am too dumb to put it into words
I want someone to make a resource pack for Minecraft that just replaces all of the cave sounds with the transition sounds
great video! no wonder i love techno as an adult
Defund the Vahki! Matoran Lives Matter!
pls more ratchet and clank videos
9:31 that was awesome, what an analogy exactly spy! check my spy playlist on my channel and The Powerpuff Girls Theme have the same drums! Spybreak from Matrix too! drum n bass exactly! is funky from 60 to drum n bass from 90
@@lucasrm7 Yea totally! The 2000s was the era of breakbeats and i wouldn't mind bringing it back haha
Unironically one of the best industrial soundtracks of our time
Please make another video, maybe covering R&C Future saga soundtrack
This is such a good video thank you for taking your time to make this ❤❤❤
Well… the PS2 games along with Tools of Destruction & Quest for Booty are great because David Bergeaud composed the soundtrack. Rift Apart have great soundtrack because they got the Mark Mothersbaugh as a composer (did all the naughty dog titles from the PS1 & PS2). Nexus have a really good soundtrack but thats it. I don’t remember anything from all 4 one or FFA and really dislike A Crack in Time OST (only the Insomniac Museum is a good track) Movie Tie-In game is by far the worst.
Would you talk about more soundtracks from other games? I always come back to this video, I'm a sucker for interesting videos overlaid with meme humour. Your passion comes through in your video, it's really engaging. I'm glad you included the gemlik moonbase track, I unironically listen to that on my TH-cam music.
@@R1CK3RS I've got many more things to say about R&C, so for now i've got my sights set on that. I'd love to talk about other soundtracks too but i need something that inspires me, i need some "big idea" that is the core message of my video. Like this one and the sampled aesthetic, i need some big "aha" moment. As much as i love games and music, that still is a pretty rare thing. Even objectively great soundtracks i might end up not having much to say about except "yea it's great 👍", you know? My hype for the R&C soundtrack is genuine because it's actually mindblowing to me - it's different, and breaks the mold in ways i've never seen. Or maybe i havent found them yet.. my list of things to check out is wayyy too long - but i'm still happy about suggestions ;)
@@aster6000 I hear everything you say. I understand what you mean about the sampled nature of og R & C. It really is a stand out amongst its peers. If you plan on more R & C commentary then I'm made up for the future, honestly I just really liked the video and no-one ever conveyed the appreciation of the soundtrack in an endearing way that I personally have seen. For me personally standout soundtracks have to be measured against the zeitgeist. Spyro 1-3 and certain final fantasy games stick in my mind for that reason. I just appreciate the talent you showed in the video and your passion really does show. It's always sad when the TH-cam gods bless me with a creator that for whatever reason, creates something special and never follows it up. I hope your channel grows with the vision you have in mind. Either way, I'll be here as one of your many subscribers that came from that masterpiece.
Such exquisite machines
"Wait, this is the same guy who designed the Kralhi? The Kralhi were a disaster! I heard Nuparu couldn't even shut them down properly! Who's to say these Vahki won't be just as bad?"
@@ToaOnichu It'll be fine, their armament is (mostly) non-lethal. What's the worst that could happen? The end of the world?
@@aster6000 Quite possibly, if we Matoran are too weak to keep Mata Nui functioning!
