Yes you definitely can. Go through the footages in the cam and choose the footage you want to lock so that it doesn’t record over it when it loop record. Hope that helps.

You can actually go through the footage in the dash cam and there’s an option to lock the footage so that it does not record over it when it loops record. Also, there’s a sensitivity selection in the dash cam that you can choose so that it will automatically lock footage when it thinks you get into an accident. Then when you get home you can take the memory card out and put it in your computer. Hope I answered your question.

Personally I rather have my dash cam recording all the time if I could. That way even if I’m away from my car it can capture what ever is happening. But if you have other reasons then unplugging it when not in use and plugging it back in is an option or have a kill switch that you can attach to it. Hope that answered your question. Hi, Val. If you have a specific clip on your dash cam SD card that you don’t want deleted then what you can do is lock that footage so that it will not get deleted when it starts loops recording. Hope that made sense and help answer your question.

It all depends on how much space you have on you SD card. It will not loop until there are no more space. Hope I answered your question.

Thanks for stopping by. So if it’s not hot wired into the battery of the car it will turn off once the car is off. You can have an option to also just plug it into an external power bank to connect the dash cam so it’s always on when your car is off. I guess it all the depends on your car - you can do a test by charging your phone on the car USB port - if your phone charges while the car is off then you don’t need to hardwire the dash cam into the car battery or need a power bank. If your phone doesn’t charge while your car is off then you need the power bank to keep it simple or hard wire it into the car battery. It will always stay on and record if it’s receiving power source. Hope I answered your question.

Lastly this dash cam should be cheaper than 50$ by now on Amazon.

I have the same 32g card. Never had a problem. I would suggest like I mentioned in one of the comments to check your settings. Make sure it’s in loop recording so that when it’s about to get full it will record over the oldest footage and you will never run out of space.

Also make sure to format your SD card. Sometimes that can be a cause of faulty SD card, making it think it’s full.

The screen shuts off but it’s still recording as you may see the small tiny red light blinks on the side

@@comerpickles9485 what I have read is either your connection is faulty causing interference with the dash cam or your SD card is full. some times when your SD card is full it will stop recording and when the dash cam is not recording it will shut off on its own. I would suggest looking into your setting and make sure that you have it set on loop recording so that when it is full it will record over the oldest recorded video. If it is on loop and it's still shutting of it might be that your sensitivity for locking the video might be really high which means that it can't record over them causing the SD card to be full. when the video clips is locked it doesn't record over and you have to manually delete them. hope that helps.

Separate purchase. I just bought the recommended sd card via amazon.

Just a directed on the manual. During really hot days it can come off. You can use double sided strong tape. It should work fine.
