When you hear these things talk it almost sounds as if its a person on the other end its either that good or fake and a person is controlling it remotely at least for now.
The answer is simple - there was a person on the other side controlling them. It's obvious based on the interactions with the crowd. The only "autonomous" thing may have been the stupid dancing bots in the gazebo.

2:00 - A future where you lose complete travel autonomy sounds pretty bad tbh. Unless the cars are completely offline, don't phone home, are controlled completely by on-board compute/sensors and have a manual override to be able to drive wherever you want - It's a bad idea. Governments will eventually reach and mandate that car companies impose travel boundary limits to where and when people can travel. It's not if, but when.
What's Elon waiting for? Make it happen already. Whatever you need
