I love these old versions. I am bingeing them. One thing occurs to me, Marlow sustains massive head trauma causing loss of consciousness one or more every story. He would be dead or gravely disabled. Getting hit in the head hard enough to lose consciousness is equally likely to kill a person as to render them conveniently unconscious... I guess it wasn't considered cliche back then

Toby Stephens doing his attempted American accent. Dreadful. ! Also Marlowe's wisecracking " Sir Galahad " shtick gets irritating very quickly.. Homo - Erotic undertones bubbling under. Why doesn't he just come out...?? Nobody really cares...!!
