This is a 4 year project to fully restore a 1969 McCormick International 532 Agromatic tractor. It included a complete rebuild of the engine, front axle, strip down of the gearbox to replace the sprag bearing, replacement of a brake hub, replacement of all gearbox and back axle seals and gaskets, rebuild of the rear hydraulic lift unit, full body work repair, full rewire and complete respray. Class 523 i have one it belonged to my father it has been around here now for fortyfive years it is not in great shape but it dose all i have to do starts and goes every time first turn os the key some of the new tractors around me dont start as easy

Hi Jeff, the badges are the original ones that were on the tractor, I just touched up the paint work. It takes a bit of getting used to at first, but it's a genius gearbox. I love mine
I can't sleep. I've got to know how this works
It is simple really, there are two hydraulically operated clutch packs in the gearbox separate to the main clutch. The main clutch engages the drive to the 4 speed gearbox. The drive from this to the High, Low , Reverse gearbox is taken through the hydraulically operated clutch packs. The lever on the side engages the required clutch.
@Jerome@McEvoy I'm really curious about how it works but from using side. Example: I choose the fast gearbox and the gear 1. Giving the aromatic switcher to front im driving on fast 1 gear forward. Giving it back to the end im moving backwards ? And the neutrall is on the middle? Example 2: I choose 1 slow 🐌 gear Giving aromatic switcher back I'm moving forward on slow gear. Giving it to front I'm moving 😯 on 1 fast gear ? I'll be very grateful for help 🙂
@@twomac91 thanks. I can sleep peacefully now. I myself have a ihc 553. It's the same tractor really but slightly newer. Sadly doesn't have agriomatic equipped. I did put on power steering myself which is a massive relief when steering with weights on or a front loader

The badges are original, I just re painted them, I may have two 523 badges that need a little work if you are interested.

Thanks Dustin, I got it re upholstered by a local company, Kerr Upholstery, Cremorgan, Timahoe, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, Ireland. They specialise in tractor seats.
