Wow , I have a 7 yr old Smart Motion E bike , am going to upgrade it next yr , but I will consider keeping the old one as it's a great touring bike , ( I live in Tasmania and tour around a little bit on the S M ) !

Jack James The eUrban has pedal assist via cadence sensor and a twist throttle -should the rider choose to use it - typically to start off or top up from a lower level of pedal assist ( without using the main power controller on the lcd unit) I hope this info helps!

Kia ora ArthurDentZaphodBeep, Thank you! I had support from the Smartmotion agents around the country for services and repairs. I am in my mid 50s, not a keen road or tour cyclist at all, and of average fitness. I just had this idea, how cool it would be to e-cycle through our beautiful country! Being offered the Smartmotion x-city prototype just really sealed the deal! The trip was totally achievable, and the key was to take enough time and to be flexible! It was beautiful, touching and loads of fun! Thanks for watching!
