Hi guys! So this video literally took me 2 months to edit - it was my first time trying anything like this and my first time using Final Cut Pro X - and it definitely isn't the best one of these videos you'll see on TH-cam but I'm proud of how it came out for my first attempt :) I don't have a green screen so had to individually move hundreds of dots for every tiny movement I made to make this ...

Hi! Do you mind sharing what you did for study sbroad? Can you do study abroad for one year?
I have been meaning to film a video on this for so long - maybe this is my sign to do it! Stay tuned!!
I genuinely can't decide if your accent is British, American or Australian.
British
A mixture of Scottish & English
That's so beautiful ❤️. I only have books set because most of the merch is expensive .
Thank you!! You’re telling me 😂 Check out my part 2 video as well 😜
@@HebeTopping sure
Did the local attendees have a good time? The two games were very unrepresentative of most baseball games; this is partially due to the short outfield, and the pitching may have been incompetent.
Everyone seemed to have a great time! I know I had never seen such high scoring games!!
@@HebeTopping Neat. I had heard that, since the games were uncharacteristically long, the crowd largely left, possibly getting a rather wrong impression of the sport.
@@scottcharney1091 i was watching on t.v. and it looked like they all came back. like they just needed to eat and walk around a little.
Applied to study classics and Spanish at st andrews for 2022🤩
I really enjoyed the video, thank you for sharing ^^ I’m going to visit St Andrews this weekend and these definitely make my trip more memorable ;)
The Sox will get 'em next time. 😉
Love your channel Hebe! As a potential masters student at SA, I was wondering if you saw any postgrads participating in the Gaudie?
Yes, tons of people from all years and of all ages participate! Even people who just live in the town! There’s also a special way to wear your gown as a postgrad :)
I did not stop laughing 😆 Your instructions were: “buy me things I wouldn’t choose for myself”. So we had to challenge your fashion sense. And I couldn’t have disappointed you by NOT sending leopard print your way! I had hoped the dress would be less intense a print and a VERY different fabric! But the skirt is very you but in a colour you wouldn’t normally choose! I’ll take intriguing on that!
I should’ve known!!
Funny, I liked leopard, haha. I think your friends trolled you or they wanted to know what you'd look like as a single mom in the future, haha. I'm kidding about single mom, saludos. ✌❤
😂
Congratulations for your first 100, I hope there are many more. 💕 From a subscriber in Mexico. 👌
muchísimas gracias!!
is there a list of the subjects we can study?? and if we do continue to study all three, do we end up with degrees for all of them?
if you google st. andrews university course catalogue you should find a list of all the subjects!! and yes, very few people continue with all 3 subjects but if you did you would get a degree in all 3 for example an MA in Spanish, English and French.
what accommodation are you in right now?? i’m thinking of attending st andrews is september and was wondering if you could recommend which halls are the best?? thank you!!! :D
Hi! Congratulations - I actually graduated in June so am no longer in St A! I have another video on my channel all about the different accommodation types if you wanted to check it out :) but I stayed in DRA in first year and third year - I loved the set up of it but it was a bit far from town!
hopefully i have enough money by the end of the year with all of these events!
relatable hahah
Congratulations! This will increase your chances into getting into Hogwarts!
ugh i wish! think i’m too old now 😢
Nice collection! Which I had that. How do u get the that “Have you seen this witch?” Poster with your face on it?
Hi thank you! It was from a place called Wizarding Wares but I’m not sure the company exists anymore as i’ve had it for a while now... other places sell similar ones such as Etsy and Redbubble! xx
hey Hebe, l love your choice of team & just like you; I also cant stand those bloody rubbish corporate/pinstripe Yankee-wankers lol🤢🤮🤣!!! My team is listed in the next paragraph, also how long have you been a Red Sox fan & of any other sports teams in 🇺🇸 + if you have an EPL soccer team, who's the fav? I was watching the 2-game London Series on FOX, most of the field dimensions were correct, but foul territory was way too wide & home plate to CF (385 FT) was a shade too close; 400 FT is a good distance. I've been a big baseball guy since I was 4.5 & have grown-up in Brooklyn/NY since 6/9/1998. I currently live in Brooklyn/NY; within 20-25 minutes of where the once famous Brooklyn Dodgers played @ Ebbets Field (1913-1957). I've been watching baseball⚾️ since I was a young ladd (spring of 1998 & 1999), my #1 favorite team since then has been the proud Blue💙 & Orange🧡 (NY Mets) & my idol/favorite player growing-up was Mike Piazza (2016 Hall Of Fame inductee). I went with my mom when she had season tickets for Sunday home games in the green mezzanine seats @ Shea Stadium when the Mets played there from 1964 to 2008; we went during the summers of 2000 & 2001 when I was 6 & 7; those were good times. They've been @ Citi Field since 2009 & my current favorite Mets players are "Pistol" Pete Alonso (aka Polo Bear), Jake deGrom (aka deGrominator), Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNeil, & Dom Smith. I tend to go to about maybe 6-8 Mets games a season @ Citi Field; when it fits my schedule. My mom & I saw the Mets/Red Sox on Saturday 9/15/2018 @ Fenway, what was weird was that my mom grew-up an hour south from Fenway in Cranston/RI & has been a Red Sox fan since 1967, she's been in NYC since August of 1981; logically picked the Mets as her NL team, and she started watching them around 1985; a year before their Amazin' 1986 World Seres title; defeating the Red Sox. When we traveled from NYC, the supporters group for the NY Mets is called (The 7 Line Army); hence the subway line that goes to Citi Field. We had 1,629 members from The 7 Line Army that marched from Kings sports bar in Boston; about a mile from Fenway & belted out our chants on our way to the ballpark. At one point, we were next to the I-90 (Mass Turnpike) & an 18-wheeler saw this see of Blue/Orange off the highway & honked the horn loudly for us!!! Whenever the Red Sox fans felt a slight bit of shock seeing 1,629 Mets fans all together, we politely chanted back "Yankees Suck" cause of the common enemy we share!!!! Bottom of the 8th after we all sang "Sweet Caroline", all of Fenway (Mets & Red Sox fans) belted out in unison "YANKEES SUCK"!! All was right with the world; so much that even the Red Sox owner (John Henry) saw it, came to our section(s), he chatted with the founder of The 7 Line Army & was impressed by our group. We sat in the Pesky corner (covered about 7 sections; all sitting together). Links here include from Mets/Red Sox @ Fenway from 9/15/2018: (Mets & Red Sox fans joining in unison th-cam.com/video/BmAMMu5scMU/w-d-xo.html), (fan footage of Mets/Red Sox on 9/15/2018 th-cam.com/video/B5ugedP1nGg/w-d-xo.html), (fan footage of Mets' Nimmo hitting a 3-run HR & 7 Line erupting th-cam.com/video/de7cz1fjNnY/w-d-xo.html), (1,629 METS FANS STORM FENWAY #WickedLoyal th-cam.com/video/CFedR6MLWQE/w-d-xo.html), (Mets & Red Sox fans singing "Sweet Caroline", then belting out "Yankees Suck" at the end th-cam.com/video/qFztefDKVjc/w-d-xo.html)
Wow you know a lot more about baseball than me! Very cool, thanks :)
@@HebeTopping my pleasure Hebe :) & glad to have taught you my life of baseball! Its a struggle sometimes to deal with Yankee fans on a day-to-day basis living in the same city, some lads/lassies are also damn stupid cause they root for both Yankees & Mets, which you wouldn't even think of doing back in the day from 1903-1957 when NYC had 3 baseball teams (2 in the National League "NL" & 1 in the American League "AL"): Brooklyn Dodgers (now LA Dodgers) & NY Giants (now San Francisco Giants) both in the NL, & NY Yankees in the AL. Whichever borough you lived in would mostly determine your choice of team; some NY Giants fans did live in Brooklyn, but that was dangerous enough lol cause Brooklyn was mostly Dodger fans & there were ugly (off the field) incidents that occurred between Dodger & Giants fans. More importantly, if you were a fan of either the Brooklyn Dodgers or NY Giants, you could NOT as well be a Yankee fan which as old Brooklyn Dodger fans would say "Its not kosher to root for two teams from the same city." I know it may be a different time with Yankees/Mets in NYC, but to follow old NYC tradition, its still not "kosher" to root for two teams from the same city, and when people say "I like them cause its both NYC teams", thats completely rubbish & wrong. My strange suspicion is that after the Dodgers & Giants left for California following the 1957 season, and there was only the Yankees, more Yankee fans were popping up all over NYC; especially in Brooklyn. If you were either previously a Brooklyn Dodgers or NY Giants fan, and then jumped ship to join the NY Yankees in 1958, that's considered treason of the 1st order. Of the 3 teams, two of them used to play directly across the Harlem River from each other (1923-1957, *1962 & 1963*): NY Giants @ the Polo Grounds in upper Manhattan on 155th St/8th Av, and the NY Yankees @ Yankee Stadium. After the Brooklyn Dodgers & NY Giants left for California following the 1957 season which had brought tears of sadness to fans of both teams, National League (NL) baseball just over 4 year later was brought back to NYC & all was right with the world. The NY Mets played their 1st two seasons (*1962 & 1963*) at the same Polo Grounds where the NY Giants had played from 1890 to 1957, then the Mets have been in Queens since 1964. The main reason why the Mets are blue & orange is cause it combines the (blue💙) from the Brooklyn Dodgers, and (orange🧡) from the NY Giants. Coincidentally from left to right (blue💙/white🤍/orange🧡), those are the exact colors on the NYC flag.
@@HebeTopping I also saw your most recent TH-cam video from 12/18/2020 where you said "you moved to massachusetts when you were 7" & im guessing but correct me if im wrong, you're probably also a NE patriots fan❤️🤍💙🏈? also if you have an EPL⚽️ team, who do you support?
@@danpowers3775 I don’t really follow football but if i was to pick a team it would be the Patriots for sure!
@@HebeTopping NICE!!!! We have some things in common then!! I get abused lol for being a Patriots fan living in NYC my whole life & calling me "front-runner". That is pretty rich; since there's SO MANY Yankee fans which are the pure definition of "front-runner". I've been following the Patriots since 2001 when I was almost 8 years old. Brady in week 2 of the 2001 season replaced the starting QB at the time #11 Drew Bledsoe; who had been taken out of the game & was sidelined for most of the season with a sheared-blood vessel in his chest. The last ever game at the old Foxboro Stadium was the "Snow Bowl" on 1/19/2002 when a call with less than 2 minutes in the 4th quarter of the AFC divisional (Raiders/Patriots) game changed NFL history. Raiders up 13-10, the original call was that Brady fumbled the ball, and the Raiders recovered. Since the Pats had no timeouts, the Raiders could runout the clock & move on to the AFC championship. But under 2 minutes in the 4th quarter, replays are automatically reviewed by the replay booth & the call was overturned cause Brady was about to throw the ball. Since his arm was in the process of going forward & Oakland Raiders defender (Charles Woodson) forced the football out, it was ruled an incomplete pass, so the Pats were still alive. They then got into field goal range & in the most famous field goal in Patriots history; Adam Vinatieri for the Pats on a 45-yard field goal in a freaking blizzard, kicks the ball through a snowstorm & ties the game at 13 with just under 30 seconds left in regulation. The game then goes into OT & Vinatieri then kicks an OT-winning 23-yard field goal to win the game 16-13 & sending the Patriots to the AFC championship. Brady then had injured either his ankle, or knee in the AFC championship game @ Pittsburgh on 1/27/2002, the same Drew Bledsoe who had the blood vessel injury earlier that season, was by that point was well enough to return. He replaced Brady, took over for the rest of that game & Bledsoe got the Patriots to Super Bowl 36 @ the Superdome vs the NFC champion St. Louis Rams. Beginning in Super Bowl 36; specifically during team intros with the Patriots, something that hasn't been done before, instead of players being introduced individually as done in past Super Bowl intros & with the Rams in Super Bowl 36, the Patriots made history by coming out as a TEAM; the 1st one to do so in Super Bowl history. 81 seconds (1 minute/21 seconds) left in the 4th quarter, Brady & his offense starts from their own 21-yard line, he takes the Patriots down the field to the Rams 30-yard line; then spikes the ball to stop the clock with 7 seconds left. Adam Vinatieri then kicks the Super Bowl winning 48-yard goal to clinch the Patriots' 1st Super Bowl title in franchise history. As the old saying goes "The rest is history".
When you mentioned living in Scotland I thought: "she's not about to say she has a mix of Scottish in there" 😂

I am hoping to apply for 2019/2020 but from watching this video. I am not a drinker and don't like drinking, is it mandatory?
No of course not! There are also plenty of people who do Raisin without drinking, no one would ever force you to do anything! Good luck with your application :)
in the last coupe of years the uni has actually introduced non-drinking halls which is very rare across unis :)
I got an offer from St Andrews to Study MA (Hons) French, German & Spanish in Sept. I am going to have to make a mental note to bring old clothes for Raisin Sunday haha
Such a funny video haha, made me laugh
