Welcome to the Williamson County EMS TH-cam page. Here in Williamson County we continually strive for excellence. Our paramedics know that helping people isn't just about response times. Whether it's the practice of medicine or public education, we're using the latest science to fine tune what we do, every day. We believe the only right course of action is to share with everyone what we've learned and the proof that supports it. Please share this page far and wide. We welcome your ideas and feedback for ever-improving patient care and evidence based practice.
What3Words
Sometimes, when people call 911, they can't tell our 911 dispatchers exactly where they are. Well.... there's an app for that. What3Words uses three very distinct words to zero in on your location. It can save time during an emergency. Download the app today: what3words.com/products/what3words-app

I thought I was wheezing 😅

There are some incorrect statements in this video. Older adults with AST are not so obvious to spot. And boys are diagnosed much more than girls because girls present differently and they can also really well in social situations. Boys not as much so girls are under diagnosed it’s not that there are more boys being born with autism. There are just less girls being recognized as having autism. I have ASD and I am 61 many times when someone is treating me badly or being condescending I start to feel stressed and escalate. I can start to make some pretty sarcastic and cutting comments when there is an injustice of some kind. My mouth gets me in trouble sometimes because, I wasn’t allowed to speak out when I was younger now I will. It is not against the law to say how you feel. No police officers should put their hands on another person aggressively that is already mentally stressed and is no threat to others.

With the Rouse I feel like it sounds like moving their clothes. So make sure clothes aren't in the way?
Wow 😮❤❤
Very helpful!
Remember, gauze on top of gauze (when it bleeds through).
You got I have so shut up you haven't got a clue you idiots go do road sweeping
This makes sense, thank you! but when that PEEP dial is being used on a CPAP, is it doing the same thing? wouldn't the lungs just explode?
Love this so much 😍
I took a Stop The Bleed course several years ago. This was a fantastic refresher. Thank you!

You're right, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest in Mario Volpstein's Erections at Will, it's so much simpler and potent now!
This is a great video to explain this. I have seen and heard about this method but didn't know the name.
Most images, videos and pathologies show infant dx. and tx. yet subject matter is titled pediatrics. I came looking for material supporting 8-12. Consider changing title.
❤❤❤
very nice
Oh hey I made that graphic on different retraction locations. I'm glad to see it's getting good use!
Thank you! 41 years old and very fit in great shape but I have cardiac sarcoidosis in remission, defib pacemaker and severe heart failure but i’m doing ok. Learning what might be in my future.
How long can a patient survive with vad
Thank you Excellent presentation.
Thank you so much!
Thank you
Is this safe to take with blood pressure meds and Xanax?
Thank you💯
Out of all of the channels to make radio content, I was not expecting my own damn county to have a video on this.
I realize this video is reportedly 8 yrs old as of today 11/28/23 but as a seasoned but retired cardiology nurse specialist who spent years & years teaching medical staff, i.e. Physicians, Nurses ancillary staff in critical care therapies, I’d like to suggest the title is changed here. If this video’s target was the CHF PATIENT/Family it’s far too technical but also, the slides are shown too fast. I hope in the past 8 years, there are changes to improve understanding & application. Edit: who is the target audience? If medical staff using repeated abbreviations is still not a great idea.
Thank you sir!! You have a wealth of very good knowledge!! Thank You!!
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
Very useful for acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema. JVP will also be present, along with a hypertension.
Wow, this was awesome. Thank you very much for posting this. Im studying to be a paramedic so this is perfect.
Do you look at the internal jugular or external jugular for JVP (and is this different than JVD)? The illustration shows internal jugular, but seems like the photo shows external jugular.
Thank you for this I learned a lot
I don’t understand why if the space is empty packing is not advised

What we need to do is train people with autism as EMTs. Then the cops can stay out. Violence is not a characteristic of autism. If you rapidly approach a person and try to contain them, that will stimulate a defensive reaction. They will know when you are being condescending.
Love the Moose!
Great video. Very Informative. The patients are very educated on their LVAD, which is awesome. and are aware of what they need to do in case there is a malfunction. our system had some patients come in with LVAD and talked to us and the patients are so informed as well as their caregiver.
That intro music has got to go!
Lost me with the useless masks. 💁♂️
Levalbuterol, though, means less of the shaky feeling patients get with albuterol. No? Also, then, why is racemic epinephrine perferred when resolving layrngospasm?
I’ve seen physical & emotional child abuse on some TV shows & movies & the Goanimate grounded videos, I know child abuse when I see it, I sure don’t like child abuse. If kids think they’re being abused or neglected, they should talk to caring adults they can trust about it, & it’s important for them to tell the truth about what happened.
The thing is most don’t have any adult they trust.
I’ve read two of Joy Berry’s Alerting Kids To The Danger Zones books, the book “Abuse & Neglect” discusses physical & emotional abuse & neglect, & the book “Sexual Abuse” gives a frank discussion about sexual abuse. Both books can help kids learn that they should talk to a grownup they can trust if they think they are being abused.
Studying for pals
Our lecture brought me here. I appreciate this video so much. Thank you!

Very well done thank you
Thank you for posting this. I've been dealing with severe adhesions post colon resection, hysterectomy, C-sections, several abdominal surgeries. Non of the EMS staff that have come to provide help and transportation to ER asked me these questions.
What a great presentation! smooth, clear, precise and extremely helpful. Thank you a lot!
