As of right now it's in my top 10! I'm not sure if it'll be bumped out due to so much good stuff coming out in these last few months but still a huge highlight! Have you seen the director's first mvoie Revenge!?

@@danivy99 oh yeeah. i did hear you guys mention Revenge. Checking the trailer and now I realize that did watch that one out back in 2018. I remember how much I really liked it. might be worth a rewatch soon!

Is it not the point of a reaction video to react to a piece of media and give your commentary on that media? At what point in the video did I definitively give my option on the finished product? @@danivy99 it’s probably a good idea if you research the Blitz that happened on London before making comments. All the countries had fallen to Germany at that point and England was the final one and the Germans attacked England by dropping bombs on them for 56 nights straight resulting in many casualties and damage, but the people of England showed incredible strength and courage. This was when the U.S. wasn’t even in the war.

@@danivy99 It's called doing your research before commenting on something. I do podcast interviews with artists and I do my research on them before doing the interview. It's the same thing if you are going to comment on a film based on real life events. Just some helpful advice.

It’s NOT a serious book. It’s a dark comedy.

@@danivy99 The book has moments of subtle, tongue-in-cheek dark comedy. It's no where near the type of goofy, cornball slapstick comedy that's depicted in the main trailer. I personally found it intellectually try hard with the verbose scientific terminology, but there are deeper themes that are addressed. WB just decided to make the main trailer more palatable to the general audience, who have base interests and short attention spans.

Warning: big ramble-ramble-ramble incoming Just spitballing here but I get the feeling people are mostly startling back from this trailer because they think comedy (like what's shown in the trailer) is something exclusive to Hollywood fluff. They're under this impression that anything 'highbrow' has to be this alien kind of self-serious and ergo, abstains from anything resembling modern film humor. For a director like Bong, that's a problem because all his films are filled (and, I mean, FILLED) with explicit comedy and comedic elements regardless of how grim the stories end up being. My assumption only gets reaffirmed by Dan believing that they're marketing this film as something it's not. Which I half-understand because I do not doubt they're showing a disproportionate amount of this film's humor compared to it's serious moments, but also what we saw is still what we saw. The 'yup-that's-me' voiceover filling the audience in about why Mickey got the job, his hand floating outside the ship window, Mickey wistfully allowing the crew to dispose of his still living self. _The scene of the two Mickeys fighting._ Unless they're not in the film, I don't get how that's marketing the film as something it's not. It may prime the audience to believe the film is a pure comedy (which it may not be), but those are still intentionally comedic scenes. A lot of scenes. A progressive string of scenes with a shared humor and tone, not just a disjointed chain of one-liners. A string of scenes that Bong wrote and shot with a tone that lines up well with his previous work. I get thinking the trailer _itself_ is obnoxious, but there's nothing wrong with what we did see. It's just the presentation of it all that felt very off/excessive.

@@danivy99 i have seen many many new movies that use the same werewolf costume you can buy online in the movies. Not a fan of the look. I hope that they dont use it in this.

​​​​​​​​​@@danivy99i have a huge collection of junji itos mangas, its definitely worth it even if you dont enjoy horror manga and just to see the art I always got nightmares when i read his works as a little girl and went to my grandmothers house at country side, i had trouble walking alone in the "little japanese streets" haha (i chuckled when you said this because thats a very cute way of describing japanese village streets).

Clearly you don’t know any better. Go look at certain trailer reaction videos that have COPYRIGHT plastered across the trailer in big bold letters while it plays.
