IMMUNOCOMPROMISED day in the life vlog | getting evusheld for better protection 💉💉🍑
Join me for a day of my life as I get Evusheld! Given my immunocompromised status from medications like Rituxan (rituximab), I was a prime candidate to receive the injections. Very grateful to now have better protection against infection 🙏
For a more extensive discussion of the product and what it was like to receive it, visit my write-up at wherearemypillows.com/?p=2494
WHO AM I:
I'm a writer and autoimmune encephalitis survivor who is getting back on my feet after 3 rounds of chemo (Cytoxan/cyclophosphamide). My immune system has taken me on a wild ride through the land of IVIG, Rituxan (rituximab), plasmapheresis, Solumedrol (methylprednisolone), Actemra (tocilizumab), and Cellcept (mycophenolate mofetil)... Where to next? Remission and beyond! 😬
Stay tuned for more ✨

LOSING MY HAIR | how it feels to have alopecia as a young adult
มุมมอง 2012 ปีที่แล้ว
Hair loss hits everyone differently. Don't feel bad if you find it extremely upsetting-whatever feelings you have during the process are valid. Alopecia is an odd thing you don't think twice about unless it happens to you. My personal thoughts: it's mostly been an inconvenience, with denial, self-consciousness, distress, and acceptance mixed into it. Subscribe for more content relating to recov...

1 year after hospitalization from autoimmune encephalitis

Wondering what life might look like 1 year after autoimmune encephalitis? Have a listen to the thoughts that come to my mind on the anniversary of my discharge last summer 🏥 . Please note that I made this impromptu recording-in 1 take, with no cuts, "umms" and "ahhs" left in-on purpose. Verbal fluency is something this illness has taken from me; but I hope to be able to look back in time and se...

Hi. I am currently dealing with this hell. Doctors are going to try Rituximab on me now. What are the side effects and dosage. Can this medicine cure me?

Can you post a video or a blog about the nature of your symptoms during the acute phase and relapses etc

I hope to cover this in an upcoming video, but in short: my symptoms of encephalitis presented a lot like dementia. My primary issue during the acute phase and relapses was mostly cognitive dysfunction; at my worst, I was also catatonic. For now, you can hear me describe some of this in the following podcast episode: spotifyanchor-web.app.link/e/w28JVqPWmxb
