Did you confirm that was the thermostat, and in order to replace it, would i have to replace that entire assembly? My heat isnt really working properly, it gets warm, but is inconsistent and i dont feel its as hot as it should be

Siphon out as much fuel as possible and dtop the tank. On the ground with a jack , its 2 hrs tops and its done tught Use a brass tool for the lock ring to prevent sparks

👍. 🤯. I’ve been thinking about doing this to be ready if the pump ever craps out! Acura puts an access panel in their cars so you can easily change out the pump! This is much easier and faster than dropping the tank! Thanks
Hmmm, I'm sure my fuel pump is failing on my 96 with 233k miles, it's been making noise for years and lately when the ambient temp is above 85 it seems to vapor lock, and when i replaced the filter at 200k I think it read low psi. Anyhow, I'm trying to decide if the van is worth the effort since fuel pumps are on sale for $5+ shipping. Living in the rust belt there's absolutely no way I'm touching the tank from underneath.
After u make the Hole on the floor u can get some silicone and a small square sheet metal and drill it down on all four corners with some one inch self tapping screws.
I was made aware of this fix while searching for thread repair kits on ebay, but was unaware of which bolts were being substituted. Thanks to you I was able to buy the correct bolts for their actual price ($35) vs what ebay sellers were asking ($130). Love finding decade old youtube videos that provide helpful info. Edit: Tips for anyone who may find and want to try this method 1. Create a thread tap by grinding slots into one of the extra 3.0 headbolts, a regular store bought 12mm tap will not fit. If you press down on the bolt it will start threading into the existing 11mm threads. This will allow you to torque down the larger headbolts much more easily. This step was the hardest and most time consuming part as I did it by hand to ensure straightness. 2. The 3.0 Accord Headbolts are an exact diameter match to the headbolt holes, meaning that any slight misalignment where the head/block holes meet will prevent the bolts from reaching the threads during installation. You could force it through with a torque wrench, but you may introduce new metal shavings to your cleaned out threads. I took a dremel and slightly widened the holes, going about an inch into the block and head hole before cleaning out each hole extremely well. Also avoid over oiling the 3.0 headbolts threads. Due to how tight they sit in the holes you risk oil scraping off and getting between your gasket and block surface. 3. Even after tapping you are not going to be able to get an accurate torque measurement due to how tight the bolts will be in the new threads. First tightly snug up each bolt in order, then loosen and retighten until you barely start feeling resistance. Then mark each bolt at the 6 o'clock position with a paint pen to set your starting position. Starting with one of your regular 11mm bolts torque to spec (52 ft/lbs) and observe how far your paint mark moves. You will then torque and match the paint mark on the 12mm bolts with the 11mm bolts to ensure they are being turned the same distance. Torque all bolts in order ensuring the paint marks match as you go. Do the same with the next 90 degree turn step. I'm aware this method is not perfect, but I believe it is the best way to get even clamping force across all of your bolts. Following this method the regular 11mm bolts were torqued to ~75 ft/lbs and the 12mm bolts to ~110 ft/lbs, which shows just how much more resistance the threads are adding to turn the same distance. You will likely be spending just as much time and effort as with other thread repairs, such as Helicoiling, but this method will definitely save you some money. So far the repair is holding up after a few weeks, but I will give an update if any issues occur. Hoping these tips and methods will help someone and I'll try to answer any questions.

Did you disconnect the carpet hold downs and fold/roll carpet over or just cut the carpet?
Were you able to do the fuel filter replacement which consists of a section of the fuel inlet line that has filter which line then connects to fuel pump? I see your access port goes all the way slightly past fuel filter which I saw at 1:04 in video. There is a small ~10mm bolt that connects the filter section to a tang on the tank.

It's system works with the fuel injectors might have to replace the intake manifold to a carburetor system

Right because it's so much easier to destroy the interior of your car than drain the gas and lower the tank. And using a cutting wheel that throws sparks at the gas tank is super safe.
