Using a modified speed_test macros from ellis3dp.com, I was able to get the printer up to 800mm/s at 8k accel with the tool heads in copy mode. Not practical for me, but fun to play with.

This display tests a 5 VDC to 170 VDC boost converter, and the circuit for displaying two digits. The eventual goal is to make these stackable so we can have as many digits as we want.

    I looked thru your github and I'm impressed by your work on this. I haven't watched all of the videos or watched them from start to end, so you're likely to correct me, but it seems to me that the Z-Offset for T1 can't really be done with bed height? If it's printing in mirror or duplicate mode the bed height probably won't be appropriate for both printheads, just T0? Doesn't a vertical adjustment have to be integrated into T1 so both printheads can print at the same time in duplicate or mirror modes? I recently saw that with an IDEX Printer, don't recall which one.

      On my github I have an adjustable carriage and a z adjutment add on for double tap (a version of tap for idex) that allows adjusting the height of the T1 tools

    Have you done all of this IDEX work on your own, or is there some guidance or information to work from? I did see some other people had done some work or development of IDEX Tridents or Tridex Printers, have you corroborated with others, or is this all you? It would be nice to see some official IDEX stuff on the Official Voron Design website.

      @@Mrddrichards All of this is based on Eddie the engineers Tridex, with some things taken from Helge Keck's Vcore IDEX. I have worked mostly with the people in the Tridex-dev channel on the doomcube discord to get things as universal as I can make them.

      @@rembrantsworkshopthank you! Just converted my sv04 idex to switchwire idex, had hardware z offset before. I saw you have a hardware z offset mod for double tap, but that’s not compatible with the idex switchwire carriages unless I want to modify the carriages.

    This is about 150-200mms maks, maybe 250mms. You should up your accels for real 800mms.

    How do the belts work? I haven't built a CoreXY, but my understanding is that you use 2 belt for 2D motion. So you used 4 belts for your IDEX?

      It is a hybrid corexy, there are 2 y motors and 2 y belts. One motor and belt each tool head.

      Yes, dual carriage support for input shaper was added to klipper earlier this year.

      Pro: more build area, Cons: more money, slower printing. The X rail and extrusions are an equivalent length of a 450mm Trident. And you only have 1 belt and 1 nema14 motor per toolhead. This printer will never be as fast as a 300mm Trident

      @@bginvestor101 I am still tuning, this printer is still in development. Klipper just recently added in copy and mirror modes. I am being conservative and running about 80mm/s and 3k accels

      Each tool only has a single belt connected to it, and the belt path is longer than on a 350 spec Trident for this build. It isn't built to be fast

      Idex avoids cross contamination of filamet types you would get with an ERCF. Tool changers are more expensive (commercial) or less developed (hobbyist) than this printer.

      I modified the thick wiper section to have a pass through and a clamping block. It made it easier to get the adjustment correct for the loop of silicone. I have it up on my github, under tridex/mods/

      If you wanted to do multi-color AND multi-material prints, it would be fantastic. I haven't looked into it enough to know if multiple ERCF units would play nicely together. But now I am thinking about it.

      Ercf with 12 colors on one head and the other head for support material, or maybe a small erfc to switch between pva for supports, one or more tpu-s for hinges and flexible stuff and maybe one petf and pla for cheap supports depending on what filanent is in the main ercf

      It can fit between the bed and the plexi so there is a mod for it. 😉

      The frame is stretched about 100mm in the X direction for the tool heads to have a parking spot not directly over the bed. I should have gone 50mm wider to allow both toolheads complete access to the bed. Right now with Stealthburners they can't quite reach the opposite side of the bed.

      They are 520 mm long, I have the middle 250 mm of a 300 mm plate usable by both tool heads.

      Honestly, that is how @eddietheengineer has the default Tridex configuration and I never really questioned it.

      ​@Joseph Greiner it makes it easier to ensure the hotends have the correct offset defined in firmware. You know the distance between the two nozzles when homed together where as if you home to opposite ends, you have to figure out gantry length and nozzle offsets and really this way is just a lot easier.

    this would increase stringing a lot, the default should be to avoid crossing large open gaps like this and as much as possible remain within the part

      It uses 2 belts for the Y movement, and 1 belt for each extruder. It is defined in Klipper as hybrid corexy

      In marlin you have a config that is Corexy and that should be it, marlin will understand that it's not a Cartesian anymore and it will behave like a Cartesian
