For those of you using MTU or TROM: Sun Jian won't have the seal on turn 1 because Lady Wu has it. Also doing this trick is far more difficult on TROM, as it changes some AI behavior and ups the difficulty in terms of AI decision making. There is a large chance that Dong Zhuo does not colonize Anding before turn 11 - making it impossible to ask Dong Peishan for liberation as you can't trade the Jincheng silk settlement. Additionally, in TROM, it is harder to earn prestige to rank up for governor factions, but the trade off is that you don't have to steal emperor seats for emperor rank. But for this trick specifically you cannot get the Second Marquis rank after immediately upgrading your main settlement to 4; which makes the quest buff exploits impossible for TROM players. Not impossible to work around, as I got close to being able to ask Dong Peishan for liberation - but was stopped by being unable to trade off the Jingcheng silk as the Dongs did not colonize Anding before turn 11 for an even +0.0 agreement. So keep these things in mind TROM players, that your success on pulling this off is only if Dong Zhuo is able to colonize settlements near you.

Hey dude, I actually recently commented on Serious Trivia about this opening. What I'd do differently is focus on wiping out Kong Rong before turn 5 to consolidate both Le'an and Beihai. That extra income is needed. The first ambush battle would be to near the border of Dongpingling. I swear that just after this battle, Kong Rong is broken forever. I would refrain from hiring the captain, well it's optional as the captain only tanks the initial economy. You can take out Liu Bei with just autoresolve. If I took this aproach, I would just max out the remaining slots of both armies with archers and try to lure Liu Bei near the Le'an to have the additional garrison. I will take that autoresolve if it shows Pyrrhic Victory. If your approach is to hire the captain, I suggest also hire the Melee Captain for Pei's stack. It is nice to have someone who figured out similar strategy also. Please do another one for He Yi having He Man taking Jiangxia early and rushing back to the Iron Mine with He Yi and fend of Liu Biao from there. I'd love to see this opening. I actually struggle with it.

One other thing that can be exploited is the "Aid with Wang Kuang war", since you don't get treatcherous if you have pending per turn payments, you can empty their money and ancilarries by promising per turn money, that you won't pay when you aid dong zhuo in this war.

My relations with the Nanmang factions are different. Mulu loves me, JiaoZhi Tribes love me, but all the other Nanman Factions are neutral with me, which means I have to offer up alot more gold to secure legitimacy (the deal is -7.0 instead of +whatever since all the other tribes are neutral with me)....

Is there a way to look up battle effects and traits for heros? Looked online and can't seem to find anything.

i think its classified as a Chariot in the database. im currently trying to mod its unit mass but it turns out little grom is actually 3 units. the bears. the cannon and the wooden parts connecting them both all have their own stats

I'm a Warhammer noob and someone said Khorn is a good beginner faction. Took 2 settlements from top knotz pretty slowly cuz i have no idea what I'm doing, then some stupid ugly dwarves declare war on me from the south and come with a full stack of 90 armored dwarves and I lost 😢

for those who have not noticed it he joins another one of dong Zhuos wars, namely Liu Yu, directly after declaring war against Han Fu. Probably missed it during editing. without it you do not reach the required friendship level with dong Zhuo.

Hi. I have an issue, pheraps you can help me. There are resources buildings that say in description "plus 1% food/wood per turn in all the faction" or "plus 15% food/wood per turn in the province". Now the problem is these buildings effects do not apply. Every turn I look at the production of food/wood and it does not improve. Am I missing something?

I tried this and Dong Zhou didn't die. Is there any way to make this happen? Did I just waste hours following this tutorial?
