Michael Pendragon
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 ก.ค. 2011
Original poetry by Michael Pendragon presented in video format with artwork and music (courtesy of Suno AI); and an occasional music video by one of my favorite singers (pop standards).
Michael Pendragon (born October 23, 1963) is an American writer, poet, editor, and publisher. He was born in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey (birthplace of the legendary Jersey Devil). He is best known for having published a pair of literary magazines: Penny Dreadful and Songs of Innocence & Experience (1996-2005).
His poetry is often rhymed/metered and employs such devices as internal rhyme, alliteration and onomatopoeia. Death, loss, disillusionment, and decay are the primary themes of his earlier work, while his later work mixes these themes with those of love, nature, and the art of poetry itself. He considers himself to be a Romantic poet in the Byronic tradition, focusing on the individual human spirit and its place in a godless universe.

Weirdly mesmerizing!

Hi suno
Hi Lotus. Suno just provides the music. The lyrics are pure Pendragon.
I'm not really one for love songs, but the old style of this actually works well.
Thanks Ash.
What band, what singer?
Bots. I used an AI music app to set my poem to music.
Ooh do tell @@MaleficaPendragon
i love your work 🥰
🥰🥰
who is the singer?
The singer is a very talented bot. I write the poems and create the videos. The app (suno,.com) does the rest.
Nice
That joker at 1:26, think I've seen him on a wanted poster. Thank you, Monsieur Pendragon!😄👍
Thanks Joseph. Wanted poster, eh? You wouldn't happen to know how big of a reward they're offering...? [rubs hands together in greedy anticipation]
what the fuck naw lol
Aye, this be Celtic Metal, lad; enjoyed me listen, and the sentiments expressed!🤘
Thanks Joseph. I've got me share of Scots and Irish blood runnin' through me veins.
Found this by accident. Love it. Great groove . Fabulous vocals and sweet blues guitar.
Thanks so much, Colin.
MY SOUL IS A GYPSY WANDERER My Soul is a gypsy wanderer And when Spring breaks upon the land She runs through the grass to the faraway hills With an old mandolin in her hands. My gypsy love is a wanton girl With her eyes dark as starless nights, Windblown hair red as apples that sets me awhirl And her smile brings a thousand delights. My heart is a barefoot vagabond Chasing sunbeams down rippling streams, Or dancing through meadows where daffodils nod In the spell of their afternoon dreams. My love is a wild and carefree bird That soars through the April sky, And sings of the things that it loves, undeterred By the rainclouds that drift idly by. My Soul is a gypsy wanderer But she stops in the Spring to play Till the winds call her name from the faraway hills And she runs off in search of the May.
The dark side of the city, and the noir side of town; where no one ever sleeps, and the morning never comes. This is interesting and well done!😸
Thanks so much, Joseph!
This is really nice!
What is with all the weird lyrics in songs today ? This is morbid in my honest opinion. Just saying. ~* = 8 ( not adding the hearts to my signature symbol. )
I don't know about songs today, because I only listen to the old standards. My videos are actually poems that I've set to music using an AI app. Dark Mistress is a poem about the often masochistic relationship between a poet and his muse (creative urge). As to the weirdness and morbidity, I'm a small press writer who published a horror zine back in the late 1990s-early 2000s. Roughly a third of my poems lean toward the dark side.
Glad I listened. You work is amazing. Thank you for gracing us with such creative beauty. ~* = 8 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Wow. I happened upon your channel. Beautiful, work. Thank you for sharing. ~* = 8 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
DARK MISTRESS Helplessly bound Her satin ropes coiled round My heart and soul like hungry jungle snakes; My black laced mistress strips away The layers of civility that form My statue-like veneer, Till thoughts race back ten thousand years To run with wolves across the savage plain, To ravish and be ravaged in the sun. There's no escape From oriental knots That wrap my body in her spider's web, Trussed up as though a sacrificial beast Strapped tight between a pair of bloodstained stakes And on the altar slain; An offering to primordial beings That dwell in shadows from a distant past Where bloodlust boils like a witch's brew. Stilettoed boots Click-clack upon the floor As naked breasts heave forth in passion's chains, Suspended on the brink of love and death My thoughts strain to explode, To seek release; emotions long restrained Constricted in a living prison cell Spill forth in wild rapture as her spell Envelopes me forever in its hold.
Very interesting recommendation from the algorithm I dig it though, minus rapid onset arachnophobia at the end 😅
Thanks Steven.
