Correction: Madam, Benin was never called Bendel. You should have said, when Edo State and Delta State were one state, called Bendel State. Benin City was the capital of Bendel State until 1991 when Bendel was divided into two. One of the new state was then renamed Edo, in honor of the ancient language spoken in Benin Kingdom called Edo. Edo language is spoken in Benin City and in the rest of the Southern senatorial districts of the State. Please note that Edo is the language of Edo speaking people of Edo State. Don't confuse the new state name with Edo language. Benin is not a language. Benin is a place and a city. Also, there are no Yorubas in Bendel State or Edo State or Delta state. People from Edo State North speak Ora, Afenai, Etsako People from Edo State Central speak Esan, and they are known as the Esans People from Edo South Speak Edo language, and they are known as the Edos or the Edo people, Not Bini or Benin. All people from Edo State are called Edolites. Not Edo.

Not just Lagos, other part of the country that you don’t even hear of. Like I said there is insecurity everywhere but there are measures. It’s not happening in your area doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Some people would take this to mean everybody is running for their lives in all parts of Nigeria. I as a Nigerian understand what you mean but foreigners don’t see it that way which is why sometimes it’s good to make these clarifications. But nice video anyway.

Every African who wants to come to Ghana is welcome as long as you abide by our rules and regulations. I am one of the Ghanaians who went to Nigeria in the 1980s when Ghana was going through a hard time. As a continent, that's what we need to support each other.
