I am pretty sure they did, as Ernest Tubb recorded it and he was quite popular back then. This came off of his "Blue Christmas" album. It's been recorded so many times and by so many. Berlin being born in 1888 and Tubb being born in 1915. Artist back then enjoyed sharing music among each other. Monies as I wish it was now, was little thought about. the flip side to this is Blue Christmas. Berlin was a National Treasure. As were Crosby and Tubb. Have a Merry Christmas

Got him at Walgreens, he's my mascot and is dressed as a fireman, candles do burn here lol... I try to give a sense of something to watch, and I do love to watch candles burning, instead of one shot of the star that sings it, or a false pretending play of a song from constant revolving gif ... it's just a pass time for me, plus I don't have to dig through my records once I'm done with them all. Some hate static, me too if it's excessive, but I'm older and it's all we had back then, and for me, it's good memories........ have a great Holiday 🎅🎅🎅

Consider me a mountain guy. along the way of Dolly Parton but in male form. I talk it, but we are a proud people. I would think you would talk fancy, or that is what we would call it. Yes, I thought you had seen I'm as country as it gets, and assumed all my music was country. However I'm very eclectic when it comes to music. I love it all.
