I'm getting ready to paint upwards of 30 figures of mid-1850's US Navy sailors, officers, and hopefully Marines, all to populate a 1:36 sailing model ship, and I haven't painted figures in a long while, so I'm "surfing the net" (do we still say that?) and in particular TH-cam, to brush up on the "state of the art." To that end, thank you for your videos. I saw many using the same techniques, but yours was earlier cronologically, of what I've seen so far, so I'm giving you the credit. ;) I spent decades studying the American Civil War from a soldier's perspective; material culture, uniforms, manuals, equipment, uniforms, tactics, and so forth, and I know it's 5 years after the fact, but the figure in this video isn't wearing anything that's Civil War military. From that sack-frock coat, to the accoutrements - it's wrong - like Hollywood can't make an historical film to save it's life - wrong. I'll just skip that DragonBall hair as a bad case of camp-hair. The way things are worded here I get the impression the figure was made by you, and if so, I apologize if I offended you. As a figure, it's fine, it's the accuracy of the uniform and equipment to the period that I'm calling out. Again, I'm 5 years years too late to the party

Not sure if I will get a reply but I need help. I've been trying to use enamel paints and they just don't seam to work for me. The main issue is that the paint when put onto a pallet dries within 20 seconds. I've tried multiple solutions of liquids in my wet pallet and nothing helps. How do you get yours to last so long?
