Can you move the 10 year trip to the Sinking Fund instead of the Savings? It seems that it meets that criteria more. It looks like you may have to adjust your Spreadsheet template. You could duplicate the Savings tab. And I think it's great you're combining finances and have open communication about it.
The way it's made links everything to one overall sheet and it's more effort than it's worth honestly lol. I'll probably look at the annual numbers and just deduct the 10 year trip from that page for accurate end of year numbers. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@corkbudget I like the challenge of tinkering with spreadsheets 🤓🤓Where are you keeping track of your Sinking Funds? I"m assuming they are building up over time.
Oh I LOVE messing with the spreadsheet haha but with this being our first year using it together we have already changed a lot. For the sinking funds section that is something we changed already, it was investments. So that category works just like the "fun money" section which is why is didn't make sense to put it there. Currently the savings section is the only one that totals things up over time. I'll probably looking making a sheet for the sinking funds over the next few months. But for now since they are all in the same block the total will be included in our rollover at the end of the month and I'll manually add it up. I'm sure I'll get tired of it at some point and figure out a sheet
Ok i lied now that I'm thinking about it 🤦🏻♀️ the "investments" section that we changed to sinking funds totals just like the savings on the same page I just never look so they should total manually there 🙌🏻 I'll look at that now haha such a large workbook. Thanks for the question! Has me thinking!
@@corkbudget I look forward to your next video to see how it works. :)
All the very best for 2025! 😊 Happy New Year 🎊

Great video 💕. I really enjoy financial videos. This is off topic but u mentioned lasik, do you mean lasik eye surgery? Ive been considering it for so long lol, how was ur experience and who was ur surgeon if u don’t mind me asking.
Yes! I had lasik. It was honestly great. Very quick procedure and recovery. My surgery was the first appt of the day so the office was very on time. 9 am appt by 910 I was done and heading home. They tell you to sleep or keep your eyes closed for a few hours, I saw seeing pretty normally by 2 pm. You can't rub your eyes for a while and there's lots of drops for weeks. It was scary doing it but the procedure lasts like 10-15 minutes. I did it Saturday morning and went to work Monday.
Awesome stuff. Love your tats on your arm!
Thanks!
Your income is a little higher than mine but closer than most on here doing these videos so I relate to you alot. Love these ❤
Yes it seems some have way higher income. It's nice to watch but doesn't seem attainable for myself. I'm glad you enjoy!
I am unemployed my focus is to save $900 for next year college tuition.😢❤
Excited for you to move to joint budget next year!
Us too!! A little less complicated haha thanks for watching!
Hello! Here listening at work!
Thank you!!!
Good Morning, watching while working.
Thanks for watching
I feel like you need to get your thoughts together before filming. Lots of “trying to think” moments.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on the video. I never script anything and especially this video was just a quick chatty catch up. People do have to think sometimes 🤷🏻♀️
New Subscriber! Your channel popped up in my feed. Looking forward to following along with your journey! 💕

Thanks for subscribing!! I hope you end the year strong 💚
Those minimum payments really sneak up on you!! But the litter robot is the best thing ever. We’ve had ours for 5 years and would buy another one in a heartbeat if we needed to.
oh yes haha we love it... but are also ready for it to be off our budget. we would love another one, with the old man kitties they like options.

The groceries seems extremely low to me. Where do you live or what are your tips for keeping that down?
I live in Indiana and go mostly to Aldi. I "meal plan" lol very loosely and also have some staples in the pantry at all times. I don't eat much in general so that helps 🤷🏻♀️ very low meat, no breakfast and a lot of pasta which is my favorite and cheap. I've mentioned before my grocery budget/eating habits aren't anything to look up to 🤣
The fact that she mentions getting monetized at the beginning of the video and suggesting that’s why "we" should subscribe? 😒🥴
Yes, that's often the point of many creators on TH-cam is to be monetized. Some will push subscription without explaining that with every subscribe, they can make more money. My channel is about budgeting and transparency so obviously for my budget more money would be nice, also letting you know the behind the scenes of monetization is being transparent. Thanks for watching!
@@corkbudget The transparency is lovely ❤ I completely got where you were coming from based on what you said in the video. Just subscribed! 😊
Thank you so much!! Glad you are here
literally 99.9% of people who start youtube channels want to earn money from starting said channel... at least she's being honest. besides, it takes time to film and edit videos so some compensation for the work put in should be expected eventually. you give money by watching any channel with over a thousand subscribers and that have met the criteria for watch hours. they just don't say that of course lol but i totally get why you also got annoyed.
Relateable! It just seems like expenses just crop up in bunches. Sounds like you have a good plan. You got this! We've had a robot litter box. They're so nice!
Hi! Just subbed. Really enjoy the transparency.
Thank you!!!!
You've got this! 🙌🏻
Thank you!
I only have $650 left on a credit card then I'm debt free
I was debt free for a month and then back in debt as rental income faltered.
Very exciting you got this!
Thanks for sharing :). I also like tracking pre-tax savings/investments with my budget. I would just update the 401k Expected column to reflect the actual and have $0 remaining, since that category is a little different than the others.
I update as that comes in as "Income" but yes I do enjoy tracking it
Wait. Hulu, HBO and Disney are $36 a month? What the? I thought it was at the most like $20 a month
Hulu is 18.99 no adds, HBO is 16.99 disney with ads is $2. We haven't looked at other plans in a while they just keep going up. $1 this month and $1 next month they just told us. We have planned to look around if we want to keep any of it lol
@@corkbudget oh man I get Hulu for free with T-Mobile. Just seen Disney is offering it's Disney plus for $1.99 a month and then it goes up to $9.99 in three months. I might get that and then cancel before it goes up to $9.99. I have peacock I pay $2 a month for that.
Im going to try that wine next time I go to trader joes! Cool video
Thanks!!
Thank you soooooo much. Your video solved the problem I was having with getting a transaction to post correct
Glad it helped! If you ever have specific questions let me know 💚
Thank you for explaining the financial burden that are aging and/or difficult cats 😅 we love them. Yet. So much money to try out different food/litter/etc.
Oof... we are struggling lol so much love buy woooooooo so much mental processing
This is indeed very heartwarming and very wonderful and very beautiful and very adorable and this brings back such amazing memories of when I use to be a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid and I am a new subscriber as well:).
👍🏻
Budgeting videos are a big favourite of mine, but I need to catch up on a lot of yours 😂 You've probably covered this in other videos but I'm especially interested in the grocery budget allowance. $150 would barely cover a week's groceries in my city. I'm aware that grocery prices differ depending on your location, but I find it hard to fathom a budget of $150 a month - I would LOVE to understand & see how you achieve this 😊👏 Have you done a dedicated video on grocery budgets/meal planning? That would be super interesting & fun to watch 😊
Aww yay! I'd love for you to watch more. So I haven't really talked much about this just because I'm a very *special* person in the realm of groceries 🤣 My husband and I don't share grocery costs because we don't eat the same foods mostly ever. So the 150 is just for, which yes I know still doesn't make sense for almost everyone else lol I believe my husband says he spends 300-400 depending on how much he is home vs work travel. So 1st which helps A LOT is I go to Aldi pretty exclusively. I'd say I'll spend maybe $75 there if I meal plan well and it lasts for 2 weeks. BUT all of that is honestly because I don't eat much and what I do eat is pasta. I usually have a fig bar thing and coffee for breakfast so for a month that's maybe $20 on breakfast. Lunch is usually noodles with butter and cheese or a peanut butter sandwich and chips or something. Dinner would be a frozen pizza, fancier pasta dish, eating out (usually my husband buys) or maybe rice and queso dip. Basically I eat like a child so it helps with my budget 😬
Great plan. I hate that meal planning works so well.😂
It's so annoying! Hahha I just want to grab whatever and it makes a dinner. Idk why I have to have a plan and a list
Good Morning, catching up on videos.
Thanks for watching!
Definitely don't feel bad about treating yourself here and there! I like to go on no-spends from time to time for a mental reset but they're never "true" no spends because I find that a full deprivation can have an adverse effect on my spending once I go off the no spend. If there's something I want during a no spend period, I give it a couple days to a week and if I'm still thinking about it all that time later, I feel like it wasn't such an impulse and I usually end up buying it. Plus, like you said, you worked hard and paid off a ton of debt last year and put so much extra towards your debts this month, a sunglass holder isn't going to break your budget!
Yes! Thank you so much!!
Which of your products on Etsy has the budget template with meal planning?
Hi! I don't sell this template. It is made by PressReset linked in the description box
Great video. I am new to your channel. I like seeing digital budgets. I am in Northwest Indiana but I have a lot of family in Michigan. Michigan is beautiful in the fall. I hope you have an amazing time on your trip.
Thanks for watching! I hope you subscribe 💚 yes we love michigan! Quick drive for us from central indy
just subbed! love the spreadsheet and love to see that huge debt payoff :)
Thanks so much!!
I loved your video!! 😍🤗Very clear, very straightforward, very demure ;) I love watching people talk about their financial goal et budget, it keeps me motivated 😍
Thanks so much!! I don't love chatty no business videos so I try to put out to the point videos! 🤷🏻♀️ thanks for watching 💚💚
So glad you're back with the videos! I also try really hard to assign stuff to the right category on my budget even if there's nothing in that category to use so I can really see where my money is going. It never feels good but I do end up moving things from other categories to cover them (I call it embezzling from myself haha)
Oof... the embezzling hahaha I used to move the budget around to accommodate the categories but I want to see if I'm being realistic on my budget vs at the end of the month on for the negative categories. If I'm consistently negative in a category then I'm planning to fund that in the future !
Yes, I too keep the categories consistent so I can budget better in upcoming months! Budgeting is such a dynamic process. 😅
Yes yes always changing and moving all around. But at least knowing where it goes is nice
@@corkbudget exactly, friend! :)
Have you tried ynab? I just got into it and it seems to work pretty well. Can't knock the spreadsheet though, I'm a sucker for a good spreadsheet lol. Good video!
I have been using ynab for years. It works great only downside is the price keeps going up.
I tried the free trial thing but honestly I enjoyed having my own set up. I can change things how I want and see exact numbers on things I want to see. Also a HUGE spreadsheet gal haha
Also this
I miss your nail polish vlog! Just a quick question - are those gel on your nails or nail polish? I transitioned to dip powder since I like the longevity.
Aww thanks! I can't keep up with all the hobbies I have to create content on top of it lol so much. Yes I'm pretty much exclusively wearing gel now. I just don't change my polish as much and hate waiting for it to dry haha
Yay! Welcome back!
Also, yes to sharing about planning the trip!
thanks so much!!
yay!!! trying to figure out when is the best time to film/post about it... still too far out haha
Hi Kayla 👋 great video 😊
Hey Kayla, welcome back! I think your planner still calls out 2023 in drop-down…it may mess up days of week for you. :)
That is mostly for show! It actually goes off the "today" cell. Thank you!!
