Yeah, I disagree. If you mod Serana to have a completely different face and voice, it's not Serana anymore.

This SDA Mod as you like to refer to it, is a must. And you have to add that Khajiit Inigo too along with his patch so both he and Serana have their own little _"chats"_ along the way. Especially when Serana teases Inigo about _"rubbing his belly"._ Though the SDA Mod is not perfect. Especially when you've been to High Hrothgar to get fully acknowledged you are Dragonborn, and then get attacked by Miraak's nutters in Ivarstead, way before you've started the Dawnguard quest. Serana, out of the blue, suddenly says, _"Hey! Are you alright?"_ _"About what, you think?"_ Then serana goes on, _"I didn't expect to get jumped on like that."_ _"What are you on about girl?"_ _"... And those tacky masks they wore!"_ Then the penny drops. She's referring to the attack on you, before you met her, by Miraak's groupies. Serana will then ask, _"Can I see that note?"_ It's the one taken off the Miraak follower that takes you to Solstheim. The same note you immediately dropped after reading it. But Serana's now holding it in her hand, and reading it. 🤔🤷‍♂ That aside. I still wouldn't play Skyrim without the SDA Mod. Nor would I play without Inigo. He has a very good story to follow.

Took you long enough to raise stamina. GIven the... jankiness of combat, it really should always be a priority, since it gives you a few seconds to adjust to any bullshit the game throws at you. Top it off with a little Fortitude and it's even better. The first time I went into the Sabbat hotel I was a gangrel with max Protean+Fortitude and it was a blast just tearing everything apart. Thought I was an invincible werewolf until I met the real deal lmao With how much you enjoyed Deb, it's a shame you never heard when Andrei called in.

Admit it, Beckett's a cool guy. And yeah, VV got hit by the toreadur stick hard; that poem is awful.

I like feeding Patty to Pisha. Love how you're lecturing about humanity and the masquerade when you're barely straddling the line WITH quicksaves XD American walls are made out of cardboard. Very easy to shoot through. Love the vibe in Chinatown. Played Sleeping Dogs because I thought the mystical dlc would be more like it, but no. Would love a game set in a Big Trouble in Little China-esque setting. The Volkihar don't really fit into VTM, they've got too much going on. Like trying to peg an icosahedron into an elementary geometric hole. Vampire Lord is kind of like Protean, their heavy use of undead is very Giovanni/Cappadocian, their use of Destruction and Illusion Tremere (tho that might just be Serana and Valerica's speciality, unrelated to the Volkihar), but their lore is of like sneaky ice-demons who ambush through glaciers and frozen lakes. Ironically I think perhaps the Tzimisce might be the best fit? Protean for night vision, claws for unarmed bonus, turning into mist or bats, melding into the ground/ice and then vampire lord form, Dominate for Illusion and stealth, and then Animalism for controlling familiar and the death hound things. Actually a very good fit, considering what the people over at Castle Volkihar like to amuse themselves with. Haha, waifu vampire Serana as a Tzimisce, simps in shambles. Been a long time since I played this game, so I've played Morrowind since. So now I keep expecting to be called an n'wah by the nosferatu :S

Everyone has a pokemon waifu. Mine are the meatball geodudes the Tzimisce create. Electricity flows from high voltage to low voltage. Kind of like the water. So just cause you're in a conducting material doesn't necessarily mean you'll be shocked, since it could already have a preferred route by which it's flowing, which so long as you don't cross you won't be a part of. Still not a great idea to hop in, but not a 100% death sentence.

Never understood why people find vampires sexual until playing Grout's mansion. Something about draining dry all those knife-wielding enemies... If Celerity could accelerate to relativistic speeds where Einstein's theories apply then the atmosphere around you would catch fire, probably not a good idea for a vampire XD The game's development history is... troubled to say the least. One part Valve kind of fucking with them by allowing them to use the Source engine before HL2 was released, but continually updating a changing it (because they were insane innovators, constantly inventing new tech breakthroughs over at Valve), another part Activision forcing them to release it early to compete with HL2's release, and a final part of... Troika's "work" culture being a little... uh... Free-spirited? Everyone is equal and free to do whatever the fuck they want? A bunch of artsy-fartsy types without a direction? Yeah. It's a miracle we even got a semi-functional minimum viable product (or, well, not really, since it shipped with a gamebreaking bug at launch lmao). It's such a messy game, but I love it all the more for it. I think you're just jealous that Beckett's doing the sassy bit better :V

Sleeping Dogs is great. Had I been watching this live, I could have been screaming that he ran home, lol He's hiding in his closet in the same building your new apartment is in. Also, I like Pisha. She hands you some crazy good relics.

Low Humanity also allows you to pacify Vandal. You can tell him some gruesome story and he gets so horny he lets you go. Or then you can get another "donor" from the club, so usually it's a net negative Humanity quest. Nines is hard to like, but you definitely owe him. After the first time with the "fuck y'all!"-ending, I usually go Anarchs. Also you reeaally need more stamina lol

Canonically speaking the Dragonborn would not have married Serana, we can know this from the fact none of our players in previous games actually carried out a family for us to interact with in future games which is a shame. But to be honest I don't think that as Serana would even want that, she feels more platonic than anything else, and after knowing of all her abuse would you really endanger your friendship with her with something like this? Think about it, her trauma is deep and to make it worse she has no family after the events, well aside you the dragonborn that is, but not in a romantic way. Also, you as the dragonborn a 100% would have helped Serana and she would have probably witnessed your death at some point. I really wish they would have gave us a satisfactory ending to both Serana and the Dragonborn for that era.

That ending to the video was very nice

Voerman sisters do funny things to me. Also I think there IS a parry, with TAB? But it's been a while and don't remember it being any good. Dunno, I think Beckett's fine. A little smug, but overall a likable fellow.

I think the voice of the guard in the intro is a mod addition to add a dialogue tutorial. I remember being surprised the first time a dialogue option appeared in my game because that part wasn't in whatever patch version I used back then. Same with blood buff and heal. The passive blood consumption seems a little much. One of the game's strongest points is the sheer ambiance, so losing the ability to just chill is a little questionable imo... tho maybe for a let's play format it encourages maintaining pace, so maybe it works? Iunno seems a little excessive.

Beware the mod is cringe

I kind of soured on Serana in hindsight after I quit playing the original (now "Legendary") edition and didn't so much at touch the Dawnguard on later playthroughs (VR), but I while browsing I eventually got captivated by the Serana Re-Imagined mod, going back again and again to the mod page, staring at the screenshots. Eventually I caved, and since I was going to play Dawnguard, I figured I might as well go all the way and installed a bunch of the top Serana mods, including SDA, and wheeew. She's good. _Real_ good. It's a little ironic how she uses some form of Illusion magic on the Dragonborn during your first meeting (or so the pop-up messages imply, anyway), because she's definitely made a simp out of me. Hoping to do Vigilant one day, too. That'll be a hoot.

It’s a really well developed mod, there’s just one problem. It’s not Serana. The character has been essentially rewritten down to the personality that it’s almost completed different person. Like someone projected their OC onto her.

What i hate about her, is she always giving me sanguine vampiris and whats more my game is bugged even when im a werewolf i still get it. And to add insults to injury i couldn't even cure it when i forgot to cure the disease in time so im stuck with the horrible -50% weakness to fire and can't regen hp, mp and stamina during the day. Thanks a lot serana

Fun fact: the Camarilla leader Sebastian LaCroix has been rumored to be based on the leader of Scientology David Miscavige - the resemblence is uncanny, including the short stature (& Napoleonic complex), heh

Question(s): (1) Does this mod require Special Edition or can it be put on the original game. (2) Does this mod conflict with the "Amorous Adventures" mod that allowed romancing (but not requiring marriage) other NPCs.

wow, really nice dialogues and voice acting (wasn't AI, right? I think wasn't), no matter if was AI or not, idc but the quality is insane, it's really good. I've started a new file yesterday for the funs, I think I'm going to get this mod before I head to Dawnguard. thanks for the showcase!

Just watched this video for the third time and I have to say I loved how you presented SDA, I hope we see more of this, Lucien was in the video....... potential candidate for another maybe 🤔 and the ending was hilarious 😂

I loved a lot of this mod for all the reasons listed, but the breakdown she has near the end of the Dawnguard quest about the spell she cast (being intentionally vague for spoilers) and how it devolves into an "I don't deserve you, I'm a monster!" meltdown felt very... written by a man, tbh. I don't think anyone would blame her for wanting to be extra cautious and protecting herself around the first person she sees in literal centuries when she doesn 't know them or their agenda that well at that point.

Finally a worthy mod ,I'm tired of all theses videos about blend mods that just turn Serena and other female followers into sex objects. Fun to find mods that give the npc followers interactions and dialogues beyond their personnal quest and preset talk

This is crazy good and I’m so excited to get to know more about one of my favourite characters of all time. However there is something about this voice actor’s delivery that makes this Serana feel more immature than the Serana I fell in love with.

I'll be honest, I hate the voice actress and the dialogue in that mod. They completely change Serana's personality with it. And before anyone says "But she only starts one way and eventually becomes loving"... Yea yea, that's not what I'm saying. The whole personality is changed. On both the dismissive and loving sides of the spectrum. And she's far more bitchy and annoying in the mod. I just don't like it personally. And the voice actress is good, I'm not blaming her... It's kinda like the Silent Hill 2 remake. James was PERFECT and deserves an award. Maria, was meh, and Angela was terrible. All three were great actors. But only ONE of them fit the character as the original character was intended.

Now I want a bard that plays Sera's song at my player home.

I will forever have a soft spot for this mod, it gave me the motivation to do TH-cam but sadly the creative differences were too apparent

I LOVE this mod! My only recommendation for people who want to try it is to start a fresh game after installing it, and do the Dawnguard quest as soon as it's offered in the game. I missed out on a lot of the new dialog, because I had already at least half completed many of the quests, for example, "House of Horrors". I plan on doing a second playthrough as soon as I complete the first.
