That's a behind-the-neck jerk for anyone wondering. In 32 years of lifting weights and strength & conditioning, I'd have to say there's no such thing I've come across called a "shot put neck press," but the lift in the video is a BTN jerk.

Bish was always willing to help the high school throwers when he lived in Utah. He even tried to help me as a thrower while I was coaching the throws at the local high school.😂 I miss him.

I miss athlete Lars Riedel. I was a big fan of him in his prime. He was a prototype of Discus thrower and he was called Mr Discus (Mr Kiekonheitto) here in Finnland

No doubt a fantastic athlete in her day, however the biomechanics have changed how discus is taught now, the biggest difference in a long wide sweep leg. Much better youtube channels out there. But great to share how discus was taught in the 80's. I'm sure today she would coach differently too 😎

You have to watch these events on peacock. They play them in their entirety and these events and the athletes deserve that

This competition was previewing the last 3 weeks of O.D. Wilson's life. It was sad to see his performance here because of the injuries he sustained. At least he died doing what he loved, not living a lie.
