@@thefishchannel1234 Channel cats do show up now & then but I believe that these guys are blue cats or mud cats. Lake Sinclair has several different varieties of catfish; but on this day I’m pretty sure it’s just the fat guys that live under my boat. Thank you for asking and have a great day!
Catch one, if the anal fin is curved at the point it is a channel if it is straight and sharp it’s a blue cat, also check if they have small black dots if they do they are channel catfish.

are you sure that's a basset? all black, no white tip tail? i've never seen that before...still adorable.
Good Eye! I've heard that several times since we invited Charlie into the pack but, Yes, she is Basset 100%. We've met her parents and they are both heavy black colored. We had another black and white only basset many years ago but Charlie is the darkest we've ever had. As for the tail.......... that troubled me as well. However, on close inspection, she has exactly three (3) white hairs on the end of her tail. I'm hoping that there will be more as she grows up. She's only 4 1/2 months and is growing like a weed.
