Had an openly aggressive dude try to rob me and my wife at an urban state park a while back. The realization he was about 3 seconds away from getting his head canoed showed on his face like a firework once it set in and he started saying “my bad boss” over and over. This was after telling he would “kill y’all and take your shit”. Park Ranger just shrugged when I tried to report it and said “did he actually rob you?”. We stared at him for about three seconds of silence and went back to the car and left.

I forgotten to say that 2 men were under the steps on the north side and the other 2 I imagine were under the steps of the south side of the Smith canal so when I got close to the middle they came up When I turned to go back I seen there was no escape. So many people want our firearms taken away but for at least 20 minutes no one was there to help and I probably would have jumped in I doubt they would have followed but the city had put up a tall chain link fence to high to climb before they reached me. I remember facing the fence crouched as tight as I could get while the guy punched and kicked me and told me he was going to"stick me" I was pretty sure he was going to stab me thank God he didnt .

Good Im glad you were prepared I wasnt prepared in 1984 on the Smith canal walk bridge around 8 pm January so it was dark. I was ambushed by 4 thugs who robbed me and beat me like they hated me but I never met them before and I handed them my wallet and the coins in my pocket. 2 of the 4 were very aggressive and one had a long meat cutting knife. As the man who I estimate to be close to 30 and I 18 was punching me in the face I instinctively bald my hands to a fist and covered my face the other aggressive man same age would punch me in the side of my neck and instruct me to put my hands down so the other thug could make clean shots when I would cover up again and every time I did the other thug would punch me in the neck and this went on it seemed forever. I remember asking them to please not take my drivers license I should of stayed silent(they took it ) They finaly walked away ordering me to stay on the bridge until I could not see them. As soon as they got to the bottom of the stairs I ran it seemed like slow motion to Safeway where Biglots is now and the door was locked. I banged on the door and a lady inside approached and the horrified look on her face when she told me my lip was pushed up and in between my front teeth.I was in so much pain that I couldnt feel my lip had my tooth sticking through it. I have never went on that bridge again. I had to renew my driving license with a new picture with fat lips my face purple with black eyes that were much darker than my purple face. The thing that still hurtS the most is how badly they beat me with such hatred and they didnt know me at all we had never seen one another till that night. I dont think I could do that to someone I hate and all for 12 dollarS and my license . It means alot to me that you got yourself out of a bad situation and it was going to be very bad.
