The National Museum of Transportation (formally known as the Museum of Transportation) is a non-profit museum with an expansive collection of artifacts including rail, auto, air and other transportation-related exhibits. We are able to offer educational and fun experiences for the very young with Creation Station, a special area where little ones can play and discover age appropriate STEAM actives. We are able to offer to school-age children captivating field trips that are a combination of guided tour with a classroom component that meets the Common Core State Standards for various subjects. Our dedicated Volunteer staff offers daily tours throughout the museum grounds.

I honestly still wish that it was our #4006 to be restored in a way that she still fired coal.
Our big boy is so rough it litterally cannot run again without a completely new boiler among other things
@@daveb1081correct. I was told that 4014 stole a part off of 4006 as it broke in St. Louis, so it would be even harder to restore

AWSOME! it was sweet coming to your museum on the 28th. I was so happy to finally be here to see 4006! I couldn't see 4014 here but I did see it at union station and stayed for the q&a they had. Btw you need more subscribers your channal and museum is so cool!!!!!!

I love going to this museum I go here when ever I can I’ve been here so many times that we just decided to get a season pass for the museum. My favorite train at the museum is Frisco 1522. Also one employee there is so nice that I was able to go inside 1522 I don’t know his name but he was nice for doing that. -Drew
Just went to the museum today, and it’s so much more fun for families than even a few years ago. Some new exhibits and the huge collection of relics from the past make it interesting for everyone. Will happily add this place to my shortlist of family musts in STL along with the Zoo, City Museum, Butterfly House, etc.
